Although I'm having these amazing tires installed this week, the point is that we shouldn't have to! Shame on Tesla for not offering an A/S option (I have a M3P) for those of us in a colder climate. Its absurd that such a technologically advanced vehicle and company doesn't offer an A/S option to the stock summer Pirellis 👎

only put that at the bottom? How bout upper part?
@zevcentric3 күн бұрын
only on bottom, the top has a rubber piece so it won't serve any use there.

@zevcentric i saw others put on top but on the second spring? Is that ok to?

@@MrRGM10 I'm not sure I understand. My reference is only to Tesla Model 3 and Y. These videos do not really apply to the other vehicles or Tein products so I can't speak on that.

Putting on 18" wheels (instead of 20" factory ones) increases range by 13%.

great video!!! Quick question here: For the front, why tighten the sway bar link after lowering the car instead of doing it when it's raised?

This is the type of adjustment you want for the rears. pulling the shocks off or out does not allow for easy track adjustments.

No more Tesla's for me. Just got rid of 40k mile model y performance with bad bushings at 40k miles among a long list of other issues. Their sw is good, cars are quick, the rest is garbage compared to similarly priced cars.

I just got installed on my pick up tein enduro pro plus, any advise for the best setting? They told me this is how they set it up, the front was -4 and -8 on the back. Do you think thats fine?

Great video! Would this still be an issue for an end of may 2023 Model 3 Performance? Has this been revisited or is there still no clear date where the wheels are safe to use with a 20mm spacer? Thanks again!
@zevcentric10 күн бұрын
20mm is a lot and might be too much in the front. The problem can apply to all years of 3's because the molds can be inconsistent for the wheels.

I'm thinking of doing the square setup but wonder if the 275's on the front make the steering feel heavier and more numb?
@zevcentric11 күн бұрын
If you're not using the light steering mode option you can select that to compensate. I don't think it makes anything numb. You feel more of the road and the feedback is better imho. We have a set brand new in stock with tires and everything.

Had my m3p serviced for a busted wheel rim, where the incident that caused it gave me all sorts of error messages that complained about steering column misalignment as well as disabling stability control, traction control, ap, and regenerative braking. After SC installed a new rim, alignment, and camera calibration, the car still gave the same errors when I received it. Did the procedure in this video and all my errors went away. Thanks!

Not on things unrelated. Tesla cant void battery or drive unit warranties because you replaced suspension bushings or arms for example.

I can not understand that trend with big heavy rims and thin tires. It brings lack of comfort, worth acceleration and braking dynamics. Only exterior looks is benefiting

it's become apparent that Tesla is willing to roll out cars that are barely assembled and just let someone else fix them after delivery. I bought a Model 3 in 2019, and although the design details were not what they are today, the car was carefully assembled. By comparison, the Model 3 Performance I bought 3 months ago was just pushed out the door at the end of the quarter. To make matters worse, the Corte Madera delivery center did nothing more than clean and polish the car before delivery. As delivered the car had several interior trim pieces not fully seated (like a half inch gap in the interior accent light strip between the dash and driver door, no windshield washer fluid, misaligned door strike plates, etc. While the Berkeley service center was very good about fixing the initial problems, as I found more issues they tried to charge me for fixing them....because they said it was MY responsibility to find defects within the "first 100 miles". Basically, the Fremont factory will just ship stuff with obvious defects, leaving it to the delivery center to find said defects. When the delivery center doesn't, it then becomes the responsibility of the purchaser to address these issues with the service center. Pretty darn dysfunctional. The sad part is that this situation was far better in 2019.

I was blown away at the fisheyes on the paint. The car should have not made it past the inspection booth in any other car manufacturer. Just poor QC. I made the appointment at the Body shop and they told me to keep the car until they can get it in the shop in February!! I took delivery in November.

What do you guys charge for an alignment? 2024 M3P was real bad, vibrations at high speed, and the toe was so bad that you would turn in the front tires would flop on themselves, leaving for a very scary confidence level when driving spiritedly.
@zevcentric17 күн бұрын
$150 - 250 all depends whats up. If we need to pull the frunk to adjust the camber caster then $250. Also how off the toe is. Often times it takes a few passes and caster sweeps to make sure it’s solid.

Had the same issue with mine and the alignment. Still not perfect after they did the alignment again but much closer. I still have a vibration in the front that I can hear above 50mph and feel through the steering wheel and pedals. They tried balancing tires and even after I swapped for winter wheels I still have the vibration (like a drumming noise) above 50mph. It’s subtle but if you drive it daily it gets on your nerves. Wish I had a shop like yours to help me out with stuff like this s getting into Tesla is a pain and they are not that interested in getting it solved. Any ideas what to look at next? I suppose it could be two sets of bad wheels or tires but not sure about that…
@zevcentric17 күн бұрын
Where r u? Noise diags suck and even we dont chase them down. Might need to get chassis ears and see if that can pin point what corner or corners it is from.
@scottm10616 күн бұрын
@@zevcentric I'm in Virginia. Yeah it is no fun. Since it's not audible below about 50mph, it makes listening to chassis fairly difficult. can "chassis ears" be used while vehicle is moving? It would be great to pinpoint this before having Tesla look again. I would rather not have them replacing random parts (which I've heard of them doing) without a diagnosis LOL.

Ouch, i wonder if i didn’t pay close attention enough, i only found a deep scratch in the bumper and chip on the front hood, and weird large extra paint flake/debris on the trunk. The suspension already squeaks and the steering wheel vibrates when it moves into driving position on startup, thankfully no condensation in lights yet…
