I love The Mall so much. I found this while trying to find a good video to send to someone to give them just a sliver of a taste of what they’re like live but I stopped and just told my friend I have to take them for a live show instead. ♥️

The sound at the Aragon was SO BAD. I hate that venue so much. BUT, I got to see Pulp from 4 rows back, so much is forgiven.

I think if it had just been slightly less loud it would have been fine. But they cranked it up so loud it sounds muffled. It felt like my left eardrum checked out once they started I Spy. It seemed a bit unnecessary...and I don't think it's because I'm a fogey, lol.

@@kristajeanne572 The problem with the Aragon is that there's really very little soundproofing or attempts to control reverb, so any amount of music just bounces around that place like you're in an upside down bathtub. That said, I was close enough to be ahead of the main speakers so didn't get the full force of it. It was tolerably loud up there but the sound was still a mess as everything bounced from back to front to up to down to side to side. Ugh, the Aragon.

Yes, I realise this is amateur fan footage, but it's still absolutely disgraceful and disrespectful to shoot 8 minutes of Ride's classic song while leaving the star of the song - guitarist Andy Bell - almost entirely out of the video footage. Clearly, the person who shot the video has next to no appreciation of the band and even less of great rock music. Pathetic! F minus
