This is great! how long have you been playing? and how did you learn? I have been playing for nearly a year and feel like no improvement is happening at all. I strive to be this good.

Thanks for the advice fella up to now i have been much like yourself and avoided working with a metronome figuring it would be better to develop my own inner metronome even though i do have a pretty decent mechanical one it just sits on a shelf like an ornament! gunna give her a whirl during tomorrows practice seeing as it is far too late for that just now over here on my island. so yup, Thank You kindly for that. your opening sentences brought to mind a saying i try and get out to folks once in a while so i will share that one with your good self here now... "there is no such thing as a reasonable excuse, however, there are some few excusable reasons."

That is super helpful. A little intimidating but I guess if I start slow… Btw, are you tongue blocking?

@@dennismcallister5069insane amounts of frustration when I first starting using the metronome. The sooner you start the challenge the sooner it becomes a great friend. Yes I tongue block everything!

Thanks for that lesson,I’ve certainly got some practice to do. I’m 79 never played an instrument in my life so timing and improvising are my biggest challenge hopefully using the metronome is going to help been having lessons for 4 years so hopefully this will help me. Regards from Western Australia

that's sounds pretty good for a speaker that size. usually a speaker that big doesn't go well with harp. matter of fact i just got rid of my amp because it had a 14 inch. ideally you want 12 or smaller.
@peterallenjensen27 күн бұрын
@@peteaustin5327 Interesting! I’ve never heard of a 14” speaker! I’ve read that James Harman used a Fender Concert with a 15” speaker that he claimed was the only way to go. 🤷🏼♂️

@peterallenjensen it was in a keyboard amp. It would have been great for bass but allot of notes got lost for harp.

Love your low down dirty tone. What pedals do you use? I have a TrueBlue and a Joyo American.
@peterallenjensen28 күн бұрын
@@TalkingPoints1 In this video I’m playing with an Astatic JT-30 with a Shure CM element into a Boss RV-6 Reverb with a small amount of delay, into a Fender 5F1 champ clone. The Joyo American Sound is a killer pedal for the price. I use one for gigs when stage space is limited. Not familiar with the TrueBlue. Thanks!

For some reason i can not reply to your comment. Im from philippines. The c vax was required here but i didnt take it. I dont trust experimental vaccine. But for those that took it i dont judge them. I believe in freedom of choice not pressured by public or mob mentality. Usually by insulting the intelligence if one chooses a certain side. I have taken several vaccines in my life such as polio and dinge. Babies in the US get about a dozen unless their parents are really anti vx. Then they have to be home schooled. Btw nice blues. Very talented. Good luck to you my friend
