Instruction manual says to turn it off, but I didn't. It's similar to changing a light bulb in a lamp. If you want it off though, easier than unplugging it would be to switch off the circuit breaker.

When I did mine last, I used a shark fitting on the downside of the elbow after the relief valve. That way if I have to do it again, I just release the pipe going down then wrench the elbow fitting off then remove the relief valve.

@phitanvo47676 күн бұрын
Nice video! You have said that you can open the old relief valve to drain and drop down the pressure once all the valves are closed. Once you open all the valves to put the water back in the boiler, can you do the same thing and open the new Pressure Relief Valve to bleed the air out of the boiler?
@realhouseDIY5 күн бұрын
I hadn't thought of that. Small amount of air I let the air bleed vents take care of. Larger amount I suppose I would feel more comfortable using the large valves with the garden hose vs the relief valve.
@phitanvo47675 күн бұрын
@@realhouseDIY In my case, the hose is the bottom very close to the ground, so can I let some water out for bleeding?
@realhouseDIY5 күн бұрын
@@phitanvo4767 yes, there are some good videos to see how to do it. Basically connect a garden hose and run it outside. Open the valve and wait until the water comes out a steady stream with no air.

How many psi i want to set ?
@realhouseDIY7 күн бұрын
Not based on psi, though you will notice the psi is higher with water pressure also pushing (vs the low 5-7 psi with an empty tank). Open the beverage faucet while you pump air in and it will be easier, as it will push out some water at the same time. Just start with several pumps and keep checking the water until it is flowing how you want.
@abdurrahmanr83427 күн бұрын
How its possible?
@realhouseDIY7 күн бұрын
Without the water storage tank, you would only get a trickle of water from an RO beverage faucet because that's as fast as water can filter through the RO membrane. The storage tank collects filtered water so it can be dispensed at a faster rate. The tank is pressurized with air to help push the water out. By adding more compressed air into the tank you can adjust the flow rate.

How do you know if you need a 30 or a 60? My system failed... I replaced many parts, ioncluding the expansion tank. However, pressure keep building up, I cannot run my boiler for more than 45 minutes as the PSI goes from 18 to 25... Whats the issue? The pump seems ok (my cast iron radiators are two floors above the boiler, pressure was set at 18 and radiators gets hot quickly... so I'm assuming the pump is ok).

Is the counter weight necessary? I prefer not having one and being able to pull out the faucet with ease and manually retract it back. Is that ok to leave the weight off?
@realhouseDIY18 күн бұрын
Not absolutely necessary, but it depends on the faucet. It may hang down and not stay in position without the weight. It's easy enough to try out and just put the weight back on if it doesn't work out. Or might be able to just position the weight higher so it isn't pulling on the faucet end of the hose.
