I'm definitely getting my clarinet out tomorrow and looking forward to having a good practice. I've got a neck strap too, and I find it really helps with hand position. I had been struggling with getting my fingers to cover the holes so was getting lots of squeaks, but the neck strap is wonderful. Thank you so much for your superb videos Claire. God bless you!! 😃

Beautiful playing dear Claire, and thank you very much for your teaching. I've recently got my clarinet out again after a long break, and I'm loving playing all over again!! Such a beautiful instrument, and you sure do have a really gorgeous mellow sound, so pure it is really heart melting. That's how I want my clarinet to sound, but I have to put in lots of work to make it happen!! Anyway, practice makes perfect, and it is absolutely wonderful to be able to watch these absolutely fantastic videos on KZbin, especially when I don't have a clarinet teacher at the moment. God bless you, and I look forward to hearing lots more!! 🤩

Your Rosé series is so unbelievably helpful. I love it so much. I've already prepared and studied quite some of the etudes with your videos and enjoy it so much. A big thank you! Will you do another series of etudes every clarinetist needs to know?

Sounds like you are an excellent concert musician, but improvising jazz is not your thing yet. If not already doing it, learning to play by ear off of recordings is the only way.

I'm going to be playing this for my audition to get into college so I'll probably be referring to this a lot for your helpful tips. Great playing by the way!

I have to play this for my wind ensemble audition as a junior in hs... I don't think I have to play it as fast as I've heard in recordings and videos but here I am, plus the band director literally asked me to audition soooo...

How long did it take for you to develop your current tone quality? I used to sound nice when I graduated school, but it's been about 5 years since I played due to a jaw injury. I'm getting back into lessons now and feel very discouraged by my tone quality and honestly don't know how I learned to sound so nice before 😂. I guess I'm just looking for some encouragement haha. Thanks for all your videos!

Nice, but I a find some of the breaths break up the phrasing in places. I have heard versions where this doesn't happen. Not sure if that is because of a player with more lung capacity or just better at disguising breaths. Could be circular breathing, I suppose, but I suspect not. Not a faster tempo either.

Recently, someone told me, that true artists do not play an instrument but express themselves using an instrument. After listening and watching you, I understand what she meant. Thank you for sharing!
