Why exactly did she win an award for country music, nothing sounded like country. You can stop the dei bullshit now.
@cam28822 сағат бұрын
Lifelong Country music fan here - I did listen to the album. 16 carriages is a beautiful/emotional song. If did not listen to the album then you have lost validity to your arguement. Your argument in this video is that because she is black, she did not deserve the award and if a white person released a rap album, they wouldn’t deserve the award. Her winning was not racist. Your argument and beliefs are racist. Reevaluate. This is a nasty take. And on the future, listen to the music you choose to discuss before discussing it.

When I heard she came out with country song I immediately began writing: First line is "Just cuz you're from Texas that don't make ya country" And ya I have another line that says "Puff Diddy Daddy" hahahaha Can't convince me this was a "shocker" - HELLO only Albino blacks have blonde/white hair, appropriations much? Fair is fair ... Love the braids from "10" Bo Derek - yah even way back then she was accused of appropriations.

I cannot believe she won this. Completely downplays the achievement. Every single other nominee had a better album than hers.

So are you saying that white people can only do country and black people can only do rap? Quit being closed minded! If Garth Brooks or Allen Jackson made an album that is true to hip hop and is good listen to with features yes we would listen to it! Stop making everything about race and make it based on talent and if you it is a project you like or not

@AvalonRivers14 сағат бұрын
I agree with you, however race didn't have to come into it. We all know Jay Z had a hand in this bull 🐂 win. It was undeserved. She should not have won. Just pointing out that her race shouldn't be a factor. The same argument could apply if it was Selena Gomez or Justin Bieber.
@Pwright5815 сағат бұрын
AI says she is R&B, hip hop, & pop artist who has EXPLORED country music. Her album does not sound country, just dances a little country. She still sounds the same as she does when she is doing r&b, hip hop, etc . She def did not deserve this one!

This whole thing reminds me of when Macklemore won best rap album over Kendrick a decade ago and everyone was upset, the main difference was Beyoncé didn’t go on a apology tour like Macklemore did which ironically ruined his career because nobody took him seriously after that. Other difference being none of the media are questioning why Beyoncé won it or if it was even a country album they’re just doing the “well there used to be more Black Country artists and Beyoncé is from Texas so therefore it’s country if we say it’s country” I’m black and listen to country here and there not a fan that been around for more than the last several years but first just from the off as soon as I listened to the album I felt like it wasn’t country at all. And also I hate to be that guy but I feel like Post Malone as popular as he is I feel like he’s trying his hardest to be country but he’s no Chris Stapleton or luke Combs like he’s trying to get that country sound but it feels a bit too shapeshifty and I don’t know if he’s doing it for the love of country or just because country music is on the rise commercially at the moment and it’s become somewhat “cool” embody the country lifestyle at the moment with the cowboy boots and the whole aesthetic etc

Hahahahhahahahahaha . I'll say this, trump should have not won, but he did.. Beyonce won and your opinion means absolutely nothing. Hahahhahahahahahahahahhaha
@BourneIdentity4515 сағат бұрын
Huh, what does Trump have to do with Beyoncé not being a country musician or being able to be country vs what she’s always been (not country) the Grammy’s like the Oscars is just a Hollywood biggest stars patting themselves on the backs, Alicia keys claimed it was a room full of diversity but what is diversity when they’re all essentially voicing the same opinions and narratives about the way they view the world. I’m all for lady gaga and the other person talking about trans people and queer people but at the same time they should have the tolerance to also allow people who want to talk about other things too which I feel wouldn’t be welcomed. Also to show you how flawed the Grammy system is Raye who has been making music for years was put in the newcomer category sure she was stuck in her label situation where they didn’t let her release certain music but she was a established name in Europe and the UK but then she’s called a newcomer
@Fresh-D_115 сағат бұрын
@BourneIdentity45 you must be white... so just like you say beyonce doesn't deserve to win.. Trump should've never one.. as I'm sure you voted for him.. he won and there's nothing I can do.. beyonce a black woman, a better singer than all of them white woman, won the best country album and yall are oresses.pressed... DEI yall say.mwell guess what we are winning.

400k sales the first week including sales and streams. The country Carter album is not her best selling album. So this is deeper then you think 🤔, she had to cross over to get best album of the year.
@BourneIdentity4515 сағат бұрын
I think the fact it won best album is more a slap in the face to everyone else than the fact she won the country music one. Because the album itself wasn’t amazing it was an average Beyoncé album and everyone keeps saying she should have won with lemonade or whatever but this isn’t a “payback scheme” if they owe you a Grammy if they messed up they messed up there’s no sympathy Grammys
@KiloWattRC14 сағат бұрын
@BourneIdentity45 The sad truth it all balls down to money. She has the capital to push sales and streams around the world. It sucks for a person that has no capital that has better talent. It's like everything is all about networking with the elites to always be elite

@ oh ofc her and tbh that’s the only reason why these artists win these days same as movies most smaller movies can only really win independent movie awards or maybe get some recognition at Cannes like with timothee and call me by your name but nowadays it’s which one has the most in demand actor or highest budget etc. I didn’t watch the award show this year and tbh I never have and I didn’t even know half of the acts this year and it’s not like I’m living under a rock it just feels like the industry controls who will get these awards and who will be seen as the success one when in reality everyone is listening to other artists music

So no white person ever stole from Black's? You really are just that ignorant since country music was created by Black's including the instruments! White-washing that's funny if you didn't have a lower bred of Alkebulan bloodline you'd still be what the other part of what your ancestors are more animal than human! You will be taught some very important lessons soon! What would happen if ALL so called minorities had enough of your kind? You don't even realize that your hate has put you and your family in danger! Your stupidity and false sense of self has you focused on a ridiculous BS awards show while there are more than 30 million illegals in the USA not to mention just how many people are infected! You pay far too much attention to what the pretend land does for attention when you need to pay attention to the real word that's about to get up close and personal with you real soon, dearly beloved!

Beyonce is not a rapper.... she's a pop artist. But I don't think she should've won in that category for country album of the year. Also, who are you blaming? Whites voted for her ...whites control the Grammys.
@BourneIdentity4515 сағат бұрын
He’s using rap as an example because country is a predominantly white genre (even if it has black people in its roots) and rap is a predominantly black genre. He’s not trying to say Beyoncé is a rapper he’s just using that as an example. And we all know what happened when Macklemore won over Kendrick the whole rap genre including Macklemore pretty much said Kendrick deserved to win even if I think Macklemore had more of a commercial success in non black environments (majority of Americans are white) and overseas at the time whereas Kendrick for years never really went out of his way to do anything other work within the culture of rap music whereas Macklemore had the whole drug addict to Grammy winner storyline which I think also helped him, and that’s before you talk about how he openly talked about gay acceptance while rap music has been notorious for being the opposite then thrift shop that year was probably the most popular song, so you can see why whoever was voting would end up voting for Macklemore even if Kendrick was the better rapper that year

This isn’t true. Country, has always been big and has experienced a massive boom recently as well. It’s pretty much become a trend among these artists to do some country music at some point. Beyoncé saw her chance and took it.

First of all cowboy carter isn’t even country I listened to each song it doesn’t feel country to me and I’m black it just feels like a Beyoncé album that’s trying charade as country, also just because you remake old country songs and put them on your album doesn’t mean your album is suddenly country. The fact artists are attempting to make country music should tell you how popular country music is. You’re looking at it the wrong way, why do you even think Beyoncé and Post Malone and shaboozy and others are leaning into the country audience. If you look at Morgan Wallen he’s basically the king of country music rn he’s selling out shows all over the country and when people see his commercial success and how he uses inspiration from other genres to create new music they’re probably thinking “well if I take what I’ve done and add some country to it then I can probably get success in country too” Shaboozy made tipsy and that went to the top of the charts almost like how old town road did besides Shaboozy has been embraced more then lil nas x was then looking at post Malone he’s always had a genre bending theme to his music so it was only natural once he got more freedom to call the shots he’d lean away from the rap side of his music as he has the last few albums then he made f1trillion which I thought was okay nothing amazing maybe a bit better than Beyoncé’s but again because they have a wider commercial reach due to already being stars it kind of hides the fact of whether or not the album would have actually done good if it stood alone without the star power Beyoncé or post Malone. I saw the backlash when she made the album and people complained that she wasn’t getting played on country radio and I completely understood why, not only did she not really make an effort to embrace herself to the country music community she also like her and Jay Z always do just do things and expect people to accept them. So her winning and even being nominated was only because of her career and all the people who listening and liked it were probably her fans before she made that country album. In my opinion Chris Stapleton should have won the award based on his album and the songs he continues to make. In my opinion this is whole fiasco is exactly why the country music awards are a thing (as well as the Latin Grammy’s), because this way you can actually award people for the acts who have contributed to the scene and not just give away awards because someone has the bigger fan base from a different genre. The funny thing is people online not only are genuinely defending Beyoncé winning it but also defending her winning album of the year and claiming she deserves it because she missed out on ones before, as if there’s some sort of “well you owe us so time to pay up” kind of bs
