Yes it should be fine as there is no water involved. One would need to ensure the machine is properly grounded to the car to ensure there is no static discharge.

How do u adjust it if it comes too far out when closing it? Mine goes a bit over the tailgate and I have to climb on my tier to push it down so I can roll it back open
@R20Motorsports3 ай бұрын
First I would make sure that its pushed all the way toward the cab. If it is, then it might just take some time to break in. It overlaps the top of the tailgate because there is a seal there. Also, they suggest leaving it out in the sun for the first week or so as sometimes they won’t retract without going through a few heat cycles.

Thank you for posting this! I changed the oil on a new to me audi rs6. The oil plug is not typical (I have 2 other Audis). Instead it looks more like the fatter transmission plug (hex head). I took the plug off and lost the washer without noticing it. After finishing the oil change I found it. I had new oil in the engine and the oil plug in without a washer. I was freaking out and I googled it and your video popped out. I couldn’t believe it possible, but had no choice. It freaking worked . Using duct tape I hooked up the vacuum hose and turned the vacuum on. Took the plug off and put the washer on it then put it back on. I did put an oil pan under because this stuff is pretty unbelievable… the whole time I was saying: No way! No freaking way!

What is the miata market price in this condition in the United States? In Korea, 23,000 miles eunos miata came up to $27,000. Is it a reasonable price? (If same condition)
@R20Motorsports4 ай бұрын
About $20K or so, but in the US, Miatas were very popular so we have many to choose from.

Pull it till you hear / feel the clip release, then go one by one. Grill is pretty stiff.

Wow! Great job. Wondering how the temperature of the vaporized dry ice might affect gaskets, seals and the joints between the various metal parts and components.
@R20Motorsports Жыл бұрын
Thanks David. This is a common question. While the dry ice is very cold and we do cool the part very rapidly, the cool / reheat process is very rapid, a matter of seconds and therefore does not impact the parts or change their characteristics. If you think about it, cars are designed to sit outside in very cold weather and therefore also have a good ability to deal with cold temperatures. Thanks for watching!

Interesting process, you're strippong all the protective coating that has kept the vehicle rust free all these years. Are you going to re -coat it with something or now it turns into a rust bucket. Sold on the process of the removal though.
@R20Motorsports Жыл бұрын
That decision is up to our client. In this case this vehicle will be part of a collection in a climate controlled garage and only driven occasionally so he wants it clean. We did treat some of the rusty areas on the springs and axles with a clear coating to stop any further degradation. If this were a daily use car we would obviously recommend a coating to protect it further.

What do I need to tell the dealership in order to get the running boards to connect to U-Connect? ‘Flash the system?’ I called and they don’t know. Also, can you deploy the boards down before you turn off the truck and they will stay deployed down for parking in a tight parking space to avoid door dings? That’s why I want them if true
@R20Motorsports Жыл бұрын
The dealer needs to update the canbus system to add the control module into UConnect. Not sure what its called, but it should be in the dealer installation instructions. If they can’t do it, you should try a different dealer or call Ram. My dealer did mine with no issue. You can use the soft switch in the center screen to manually lower these down. They will stay down when the truck is off. Not sure if they will help protect from door dings as they don’t stick out very far, but they will stay down. Good luck and thanks for watching!

How love will it last ? Is it a permanent fix
@R20Motorsports Жыл бұрын
The dry ice removes the layer of oxidation where the plastic turns white. What is left is fresh new plastic so the finish should last as long as the original finish did. How fast it turns white again is a function of the environment that the car is in. Basically, moisture and sun exposure degrade the plastic to make it oxidize and dry ice doesn’t change this process, but its much more effective than a dye or protectant that just covers the problem.

I drive a M2C and that video helped me to install a Grill. -If you have thin rubbery gloves (like from a Doctor) and have slim hands - than It's possible without removing the Top bolts. -I sprayed this gloves with silikone and this was the key..this way my hands were slipping through the grill pretty easily - whereas before I thought how?! -I was as able to open all Top Clips and the annoying 2 side clips (as mentioned in the video - these are key) -For the bottom ones, I did need a Pry tool that I used from the inside. So My hand was behind the grill, and I had to pry 2 of the bottom tabs from there. -You can build up a bit of leaver strength by setting he pry tool on the bottom area, which has a bit of stair like surface. Therefore, you're able to leaver that pry tool a bit. The whole process is much easier than I thought - but some of the tabs just need a bit of patience without pulling on the front grill like crazy, A gentle continuous pull should be enough with one hand - whilst you work through the tabs. Thanks for the video!

Not a chance. Dry ice is much softer than sand blasting. Aluminum parts can take full pressure and lots of cold.

This is Dry Ice, we wear gloves and its not a big deal. Much easier to deal with than spraying sand everywhere. Also much softer so we can clean wiring, rubber, plastic, painted parts, etc.
