How can one appreciate other genres after experiencing this? The sheer power it holds is unmatched-absolutely extraordinary!

I learned about this band thru Steven Wilson and Tim Bowness. I am now a fan, and will be pursuing more of their music. And maybe copying their approach a bit for my own music.

From the great early punk rock band they turned into average second grade pop act. Shame

I bought this LP while in college in the 1970s. Communicated with Maury’s sister (1990s?) and learned of the family’s fight for the rights to his work. Thanks for making Maury’s album available to a broader community.

I've been looking for this. Thanks. Seven years later! And wow - David Bromberg?!! I realize few will recognize him as a heavyweight, but I think among musicians, he's pretty top notch.

I've loved this L.P. for over 50 years. I was able a few years back to find it on CD plus an available CD of the demos for this release. I believe Maury's sister finally got the rights to his music and was releasing these gems. They still are available as of 2023. I have no vested interest in these releases. I'm just a grateful fan. A remarkable talent that was taken way too soon.

Master at music. Excellent guitarist, songwriter and keyboardist. That lone pecan tree took more than just Jim. It took Maury too.

When I say this I am not speaking in hyperbole: I don't think any other piece of music has moved me so profoundly on a deep, visceral emotional level. I vainly assumed I was having a unique experience, but reading through these comments I see that I am not alone. That a musical performance can speak to so many people in such a succinct way is surely a sign of the genius of the performers.

The part from 23:00 till 28:00 is just pure bliss. So so relaxing. The way all the sounds clear up and everything becomes so clean again.. Such a pleasure for the mind and ear. Everything else around you just disappears for a while, it's like some kind of meditation. It's just perfect.
