Yuck. I would imagine you will block your drain with the small pieces of lint/fabric that fall off. I would never eat at someone's house who washed their shoes and clothing in the dishwasher. How about using a wash machine. You can put all of those items in mesh bags in the washing machine which is actually meant for these items. Google dishwasher!!! . Yuck.

You can also wash anything in a dishwasher, if you are willing. I put my G.Skill KM780 RGB in my dishwasher and let it dry for 3 days in a A/C controlled room, upside down at a slight angle for liquid runoff. It works fine, I strongly recommend taking a picture of your keyboard layout before taking off the keycaps.

Is it ok to do vinegar and baking soda on a HE ( high efficiency) washing machine?

not all dishwashers are built like this, mine has to have the bottom sprayer and the upper sprayer supply arm removed before you can access the filter, and you then need to remove 5 Torx screws to do it. and besides the filter is the trap and one time i found everything from pistachio shells to a bread tie in the trap. that filter looks like it has a lot. also you can avoid that filter build up by rinsing your dishes to eliminate things like grease and particulate. some may say it shouldnt matter but it does, especially if you need to run a water softener

Another tip for specifically stainless steel. Wipe in the direction of the grain, not up and down.
