Thanks for the video. I did the 4g sim card with T-mobile's unlimited data plan only for $45/month, this way I could use all the functions and apps through Nova Launcher. NO MORE CarPlay or probs with when I hooked up my charger and the system trying to connect. Play with the EQ. It gets a little better. There's SOOOO many ways to tweak the tablet. There are some funny "mind of it's own" quirks. Overall though it's been an amazing upgrade for my 2018 Raptor. Best ever for our trucks!

I noticed you had the time on your home screen while using Nova Launcher, but I can't seem add widgets to my Nova homescreen. When I hold on the screen, it only brings up "wallpaper" and "settings". Is there a setting I need to change so I can add widgets to the Nova homescreen?

I know I've seen it somewhere, but can't find the video now. Having issues with calls. When I use my steering wheel to make a voice call, I can speak and the person can hear me, but I can't hear them. When a call comes in, I have have several ways of answering: 1) SYNC3, 2) tablet, or 3) Android Auto. I typically can both speak and hear when I go through Android Auto, but still that doesn't help me make a call using my steering wheel buttons. I also find that my phone will bluetooth to both my Raptor and the tablet. If I don't connect to Raptor, then my SYNC3 functions won't work and I can't call either. Not sure if I need to be connected to the tablet or not. Do you know what settings I'm missing? Before the tablet, my radio would drop when I made a call and now the music continues to play through Android Auto and I have to turn it down, but still I can't hear the other person. There also seemed to be a speaker that came with the tablet. Did I need to install that to hear people when I'm on a call? Not as techy as you so can't figure out how get my phone to work properly.

Congratulations!! My gen 1 is silver as well but has a few tasteful mods. Mine only has 85,500 miles on it currently and prior owner installed cooks headers and exhaust.

Great video, but in there you mentioned that if you don't have a data plan, the system will still work just fine. I assume you mean in terms of just having the SYNC3 system with a larger screen as all other functionality of the tablet is sort of useless (i.e. no google maps, no spotify, no streaming, etc). To truly get your bang for the buck, you need to have a data plan? I just installed my screen, but am now questioning my purchase as I don't see the use unless I have a data plan. What other functions do I get over the regular 8" SYNC3 system if I choose to not purchase a data plan? Thanks again for all your videos!!

An ABSOLUTE must do is to extend the rear sun roof drain tubes out from inside the rear quarter/rocker. From factory they just left the tubes scrunched up inside and all the drain tube water just since in there, also re-seal underneath and around the roof rear cab seal with the riveted trim cover. New plugs, wires , boots and pellets

I have a 2014 that looks almost exactly like yours. I was not able to get the runningboards sandblasted clean. I thought it would be easy and took it to someone I knew who did sandblasting and they could not get any of it to come off except the parts that were already slightly loose. I had to use a wire wheel and sander, and basically all I was able to do was to fair in the edges of what wouldn’t come off so that nothing could get underneath them to scrape them up more. I sprayed it with the raptor liner in a can after using the raptor liner etching primer. They came out looking fantastic, and you can just barely see some of the spots where it transitions from the original coating thickness to the new coating thickness. I plan to publish a video on it sometime soon.
