I can't even remember it being so chaotic. But it was my favorite game in my childhood. I was often only allowed to watch my father, but it was worth it.

okay one thing that really stands out to me that i KNOW they could have and should have noticed and fixed before release was the size of certain objects like the ladders and fences in the game. they look waaaaaay oversized and that distorts the hell out of them. and makes them look very unrealistic.

I enjoyed the heck out of this game back in the day. Just don't think too much about how you, as the player, are doing things like hijacking a zeppelin in flight from the ground. :)

I searched for this game, having played the original Midwinter on my Amiga. I have no idea what is going on in this gameplay video lol. It jumps around so much between being in a vehicle and then something else and back in the vehicle back and forth. I'm so confused lol

Watching this brings back memories. Man, Im sorry, but Watching you fight the f22 is painful. You did it several times. You took too many hits. What is with you and not using missiles? Your both turning same direction. You never figured out to reverse your turn and, ever heard of your missiles? Going afterburner in a turn doesn't get you anything but high g force.

@@FatNicksRetroGamesArchive who said that? Now if you are trying to use just guns, thats fine. But there are missiles in aces challenge. And in dogfighting there is missiles. So I dont know why you didn't use them. Better than getting your plane full of bullet holes. You're a stealth fighter that is taking Russian 23 or 30 mm cannon fire. Between going home and telling your CO and other pilots you let your many millions dollar stealth fighter be hit with cannon fire. Use the missiles dude

@@FatNicksRetroGamesArchive I haven't played that in so long i dont have my sega. I never knew about cheating back then. And nowhere does it say no missiles. Whatever. Wish i could play that one again. Its not like its Jane's Combat simulation or a new simulator. I dont know where you come up with missiles are cheating. Justify that. Your a stealth fighter. The point is to not be detected. Worst case you get up close and use guns. Dogfighting involves both. So don't say its cheating. You have them. You just dont want to use them. Ok fine. Missiles are not cheating. If you dont like my criticism, dont get shot full of holes. Anyway thanks for the memories

@@johnhenryreber2501 No no I'm not saying that missiles themselves are cheating, i'm saying the only way you can get them in the Aces challenge is by cheating in the game (there's a hidden menu that can give you a full load out) :) If you go in and start the Aces Challenge from the menu you have guns and chaff only - no missiles. And fear not! If you want to have a quick go you don't need to have the original gear - you'll definitely be able to run it on any PC made in the last twenty years. You just need an emulator program - Retroarch is relatively easy to install and has cores which can run everything from Pong right up to the PS2.

It was on a Raspberry Pi4, but you can play it on a PC via mame! You just need to make sure the version of the roms matches the version of Mame: www.mamedev.org/release.html
