One thing you missed is the carbon fiber backpacks. They reduce sliding distance on your back and can prevent the back of your head from touching the ground.. assuming your backpack isnt filled with a lot of hard objects. The most important of all safety gear is a 126db horn and practicing defensive driving. Its better to prevent crashing than it is to be prepared to crash. If you cant power slide your scooter around a right hand turn at 30+ mph.. practice it..thats the only way to stop very fast in a very short distance when a car pulls out in front of you. if you can power slide a right turn at 30+ mph.. you can turn a scooter sideways and lean back to stop in emergency situations. All of these on the list have saved my life multiple times. Good luck

All research on helmets done by colleges have the same results for scooters of all speeds. The impact points are most commonly the side, back, and top of the head. Having a motorcycle helmet with a hardended front and a soft back is not ideal. any motorcross helmet should be legit as long as its rated for multiple impact.. and careful with built in visors.. i know a guy that crashed a scooter at 40 mph and the visor did him in

I commute to work but a section of road has shut down indefinitely due to some chemical fire contamination. It's been down for 3 weeks. That section had bike/walk shared paths/lanes. I now have to commute through a section of Grass, dirt, gravel and mud. I only travel 25kmh max. One time I set my speed to max and used the road to keep up with traffic. Ride was way easier but scarier. Gone back down to 25kph and dirt/grass/mud but looking at options so I feel safer riding at speed. Thanks for the video

I use the same I use on my car, optimum no rinse wash and shine, it consist on putting some of that liquid in a bucket of warm water mix together and use a soft microfiber towel by the way two with one you clean and the other one you dry e the scooter no need to washer pressure the scooter

Beware, it's not reliable at all. Controllers will fry again and again and replacements parts are a nightmare to get
@daveErides4 ай бұрын
Near 500 miles so far and its been solid but I have heard of issues. Not putting it into "S" mode should save your controller as that mode has the potential to fry it. I don't ride in anything over mode 3 99% of the time.

Right! Just wear motorcycle boots! If you wear sneakers when you ride a motorcycle if you get in an accident that's the first thing you'll see on the ground is the person sneakers and most people usually get a broken heel because they put their feet down when going fast

Check the voltage reading on the screen thats on the bottom of your battery when you remove it. I bet you it says 83.4v when fully charged and your TFT handlebar display will say 84.5. The TFT display is a little generous with its reading.
@daveErides5 ай бұрын
Yes, they both generally display different readings. From what I have heard though the display is more accurate than the battery reading idk.

Wiping away hardened dirt will scratch surfaces, better to wet it a bit to remove the muck first and moisten it. I use a steamer on mine. No jets or spraying of liquids with microfiber towels. Love my GTR.
@daveErides5 ай бұрын
Yeah I let the cleaner loosen up the dirt first before whipping but the paint is pretty durable enough that it wont scratch like a car would, that is, I would never do this on my car lol.
