i have had my adv 160 for about 7 months now and the more i ride it the more i hate it. its the first honda i have owned that i didn't like. only about 70 mpg average and its like riding on a 2x4 on its skinny side. but it does work great on sand and loose dirt.

I bought my adv 160 for the purpose of riding in scooter cannonball 2025. I will say it has been great on the streets of Los Angeles, lane splitting and zipping through traffic. It does have fun factor for me but the shocks suck

@@VROOMGOPAM thats why i bought mine. but now they about to just about cut my right arm off and put it back together right i hope. and they said most people up to 4 months but with what they have to do to mine it will be a min 4 months but most likely 6 months maybe more. plus they was sold out by the time the opened it to new riders. been seeing some people are wanting to sell their spots but now i have to wait and see how my arm does so if i get to do it. it will be last minute. Getting old SUCKS

When I tore my thumb ligament - if the 2020 covid pandemic hadn’t pushed cannonball to 2021 then I probably would have had to drop out. Seemed like forever to heal. But I’m wishing you all the best & a speedy recovery. Hope it all works out for you in 2025

@@VROOMGOPAM if i cant make the ride. it will depend on what all they have to do. or if they have a opening. once i find out if i can. even if i cant do it but can ride i am going to try and meet up with you all maybe in pecos, tx and just ride with y'all to the end. then ride with quasi and his group back home. we all live with in 150 miles of each other

@@a.a.1253 the goggles are “doggles “ brand. The bag comes with a d-ring & leash to clip on your dog buddy. His little red harness came from a previous chihuahua rescue that got to live her best life 😀

Couple of things... 1. This was not planned. Looks like there was a Garmin 'optimization' I missed. Whoops!. 2. Cannonball brain is real. 3. I counted no less than THREE left hand turns you could have taken to get you on THE ROAD THAT YOU COULD SEE THROUGH THE TREES! 4. I can understand why you were whining. Those were some breakneck speeds! You were going almost as fast as a MOUNTAIN BIKE for some of those stretches! Still, I plead for a chance at redemption. Perhaps in the form of a roach-infested hotel?

@@hawkputtonen8008 yes. There is a built in strap inside with a D-ring to hook to his harness. You can adjust the slack / tension so he has room to sit up and lay down

@@WilliamWatkins-s5y I did not park it there. The dealer employee parked it there when they rode my bike from the service installation in the back to that spot in front of the dealer. I did not ask for or choose that spot. And nobody drove into the parking lot to pull into any parking space at the time of this video. I do not park in disabled spots. So I hope that eases your outrage.

@@VROOMGOPAM I only changed the belt once in Arkansas 100 miles before the hotel. I think that would have been day 6. It was at the 4,000 mile mark, the whole time wide open throttle 🤘

@@VROOMGOPAM No problem, we are going to get you set up for success in 2025! Quasimotard I believe had an after market variator and his PCX had a few miles on it. He has a good lesson learned. I may carry roller weights, variator, clutch, and an extra belt in case anyone needs it 😁. Honda does make a solid product.

@@Gimpthulhu I hear ya. I usually avoid 1st gen models too. But I had a loved one diagnosed with terminal cancer so I just pulled the trigger and bought it. I decided life is short so buy another motorcycle now 😀I’ll keep you & my channel posted on the Speed 400 !!

But after a dodgeball missed catch attempt broken pinky & a successful ball block but it tore my thumb ligament well…I had to give up the sport. Couldn’t risk another hand injury / cast on my arm that keeps me from riding for months. But damn do I miss it!!
