someone needs to offer entry level jobs that actually pay enough to put food on the table and a roof over your head, as well as have some money to spare in case of a crisis. you shouldn't need ten years of work experience just to get an entry level job but unfortunately, that is the economy right now.

Lying works. And it has personal benefits but communal reprocussions. Here’s what I mean… because others have lied and over-embellished, when some hiring managers come across a truly stellar candidate, them being stellar is a significant red flag.

Btw if I understand this correctly, the video is talking about actual lies, not resume “lies”… an actual lie as in stating you have a certain skill that you know you don’t have and won’t have… it’s not talking about “the role wants sysadmin experience, I’ve worked as a help desk technician for 5 years and for the last 3 I’ve been given sysadmin tasks therefore I can reasonably say I have 2 years of sysadmin experience” it’s also not like when a position asks for 5 years of experience… but you started 2 calendar years, and I. That time you worked 20 hours a day on your craft and never took a break for the weekends thus outperforming the normal 8 hours… the video is about stating a skill you truly don’t have, can’t perform, and can’t defend

Great video Karaleise, The issue is that many individuals with IT backgrounds, such as developers and entry-level data analysts, are entering the field of business analytics because the pay is higher than what they would typically receive given their level of expertise in the IT field, so anyone with some IT knowledge simply completes a brief course on business analytics and changes their resume to read "IT business analyst to get the job and money 💰

It's a skilled job. Like you said, it's not a factory job where repetition is key. I don't have any experience in Business Analyst job, so I really can't say how the job is like, but I'm sure it requires a lot of critical thinking. Of course the imposter syndrome will kick in because when you get the job, you want to do your best and not upset your boss.

I use to interview a lot of ppl as the supervisor of a team of environmental field analysts. Ppl lie during the interview but we train them nevertheless 😊. I went back to school for my engineering degree and did not lie on my resume and got no responses. I went back to school again and got a physician assistant degree and then NCCPA, BLS, PALS, ALS certifications. Did not lie on my resume but got no response.i am currently delivering packages to meet ends meet, no medical insurance, and $100,000 in student loans. I am 55 y/o now I would like to be deported to Canada or England or some Caribbean islands where my degree and work could be preemptively be respected as a PA-C 🙏🙏🙏
