Do you look at throat and back of tounge and thyroid on a cervical spine mri?

I just had a chest x-ray done because I constantly feel like there’s something pushing or squeezing my throat my doctor thought it could be a vein. He initially wanted to do a CT scan but insurance said I had to do x-ray first. But they didn’t see anything concerning that but they did see something on my spine lol so yeah I gotta get that checked now. But next for my chest is the CT scan

Not particularly well on a brain mri. A CT or MR of the neck would be better for that.

Hey, anyone here fancy reviewing my mris? Am involved in a major complaint with the local health board, injured in first a dental then a maxillofacial appointment. Now, my skull is compressing, I've been told I've lost brain mass. They've never shown me my scans. I've had to go hunting and request them. They say nothing wrong I can see loads, went straight to problem areas and at worst, I'm going on the symmetry rule, my face used to be the same either side. Now my skull is deformed. I have lumps that change shape every few days or so. A massive lump behind my left ear and now my neck has bowed under the pressure of an unsupported skull, and feel like I've broken the MUSCLES in the neck! Little stabbing feelings across base of my skull, pins and needles, numbness arms especially, left hand... thumb and forefinger join little and wedding band finger in being numb. My hospital tried to COMMIT me, to cover for the doctors who made existing issues a million times worse... I should have a bloody HALO on. If anyone wants a hobby and to look for really weird and unique things. Because NO ONE has gone thru the physical issues of the last four years, and I'm never believed. Even though I took to recording all the appointments...

Hi, just a curious person here, how long does it take as a range for a doctor to look through the images of an MRI scan to make a diagnosis? If anyone can illuminate I would really appreciate it.

what does loss of disc space height and vacuum disc phenomenon grater along the right aspect mean on a T12 L1 lumbar CT report
@JakeGibbonsMDАй бұрын
this is basically a statement about degenerative changes at the T12-L1 level. When the disc loses height, it is from wear and tear. It is something that essentially all of us will end up with from age

Hey Jake! I'm a graphic design student currently getting my BFA. I have a final thesis project on creating a font typeface, and I am really interested in MRI scans, specifically of the brain. This video was amazing in helping me research more on the conceptual side of things. May I ask where you found these scans? And if there is anywhere that I can find full MRI scans of a brain online? This would be amazing.

To read something, you need to be able to do it. For this, you need to at least know all types of pathologies in the abdominal cavity - and there are thousands of variants. This is NECESSARY, so as not to confuse - a variant of the "norm" with a variant of pathology. And pathologies can be different, the same as NON-INCARCERATED internal hernias, about which there is no information at all - about incarcerated ones, there is plenty of information, but about NOT incarcerated ones, no one has information.

Thank You Sir very informative ,Sir if there is there is L4 L5 disc bulge then which nerve root will be involved?
@JakeGibbonsMD2 ай бұрын
Depends on the location of the bulge. A foraminal bulge would hit the L4 nerve root. A lateral recess bulge would hit the descending L5 nerve root.

@j.gan.2801Ай бұрын
You should be able to receive a disk you can put in your desktop computer to view the images, you ask the office that performs the MRI for the images and notes be sent to you. They also might give you a QR code to scan and access your images online. Then you can watch these videos and compare and contrast.

We have a new worker at a retail work who has a knee brace in his left knee and apparently he tore his ACL playing lacrosse. I ask him if it’s completely torn or partially torn and he said it’s partially torn but he got a surgery on his knee in May. I’m curious they use tendons from your own body and used it as a replacement ACL, what happens to the replacement ACL overtime? Is it a much stronger than the actual ligament prior to the injury? I assumed it is since it’s a tendon or does the replacement deteriorates?

What's your thoughts about Calcification of Styloid Ligament? Along with "Reverse Curves" - Only thoughts I have are the fwd head, and stressed people who clench at the jaw, that creates tension on the ligament that causes this. Or people with some sort of Craniocervical Instability - Reverse Curves seem to go with the calcification that I've noticed. What's wild is now some are getting Dynamic Cone Beam CT Scans. Then BAI, ADI, CXA and BDI can be checked for instability.

Hi great video. I have a question? My side to side view… of my latest MRI on my neck is quite normal. However, my axial view is not, it’s showing multi level disc herniations pressing on my spinal cord. Moreover, 2 years ago I had a c5/6 disc replacement surgery but after three months I started to get symptom’s back. It was reported that there are some bone spurs on the that disc. On the axial view at c5/6 it confirms this as there is a huge disc bulge pressing on my cord……but on my report it says the scan is normal? I think this is wrong as they are only looks as the side by side view? I have neck pain and pain on hands…….
