you need to put him in a tank or a plastic tub that’s is large enough for him to grow and move around not a bowl.

I had a baby snapper once but when I was cleaning his cage my cat killed him and I just got a new baby snapper and this really helped a lot because I really dont want anything to happen to him and I made a little 10 Gillan tank with some makeshift stuff for right now untill we can buy better stuff but I actually did really well setting it up Man my little turtle loves water and it's so cute when they just like their heads out it's so cuteee

I've had 15 now and all of them haven't lived past 2 months, some lasting less then a week, they float at the top barely moving then they die soon after, my tank is a 10 gallon and it's just them according to several experts I'm not doing anything wrong, they die mostly after a water change but I use special amphibian water conditioner before hand as recommended by an expert, Please help! I don't understand what's wrong!

we dont do water changes. ever. HEAVILY plant your tank and use a high quality plant substrate. add some driftwood. let it run for like 6 months then boom. top off with filtered water as needed. we have 8 tanks, largest being a 220 gallon. smallest a 35 gallon. we haven’t done a water change in years. we still clean our filters and net out uneaten food though. the only time we lost a fish/amphibian was during a power outage. keep your temperature stable. make sure you use water conditioner before and after a water change. every tank is different, maybe you’re doing water changes too often. or you’re changing out too much water. also if you’re dumping freezing cold water into your 78° tank you’re going to shock your animals and they will die. i bet money this is the problem. but i dont know what you’re doing so i can only assume. temperature is #1 if your other parameters are stable.

ADF also need 10-12 hours of light per day. Make sure you’re feeding them a varied diet. I dont recommend the “frog pellets” or any pellets really, if it’s the brands they sell at big box pet stores at least. most have corn in them, you also want to avoid pellets with copper or zinc high up on the ingredient list. DONT feed bloodworms or freeze dried foods!!! ever!!!! feed mysis shrimp, daphnia, black worms, mosquito larvae. brine shrimp is ok, it has a little protein but is missing other vitamins this frog needs. i wouldn’t mind feeding it but don’t use it as a staple. you can easily find brine shrimp & mysis shrimp at an actual aquarium store! you can feed earth worms as well (from a chemical free source) hope this information helps you!

They are great community fish, I have one myself.. I recommend only having one and having a 50gallon+ they don’t get huge but they need space to swim for them to be happy. I have mine with a bunch of South American cichlids in a 125gallon and he’s doing great

There is a rule that it is 1 frog per gallon but take that with a grain of salt. Don’t put one in a 1 gallon because that is not a lot os space and they are social animals.

What is a ideal tank size

There is alot of misinformation here. Reptiles aren't aggressive, they're defensive. 120 gallon tank is nowhere near big enough for a full grown Common Snapping Turtle. Ours are one year old and have their own 300 gallon ponds for now. With proper filtration and food, water changes aren't necessary that often. They do like to bask out of the water often. Our Common Snapping Turtles are big babies. They are amazingly smart and interactive turtles. We post information on them often on our Facebook page.

2 gallons per frog. Stick with tanks that are not deep. They need easy access to the surface to breathe. 10 is perfect for 2-3. They like buddies.

I test regularly. My 6 catfish have been in the tank for 1 1/2 weeks. They don't hide EVER. They seem like they're waiting for food. They do swim on the bottom & periodically swim up the glass even when I am not in front of the tank. They're supposed to be bottom dwellers and hide out in the day; I thought. I don't mind seeing them all of the time. I'm wondering if anyone has this experience with their catfish? thx Update: they have settled in and are thriving nicely.

Here's what we offer! We keep assorted Tetras, Cichlids, Crayfish, Bullfrog Tadpoles, Crickets, Fiddler Crabs, Killifish, Bream, freshwater Eels, Sailfin Mollies, and aquatic Snails in their enclosures at all times 24/7 and restock weekly! We also offer fresh (not store bought) Blue Crabs, Ghost Crabs, Drum, Whiting, Flounder, Stingray, and Grouper weekly! We also offer frozen thawed rodents, quail, and chicks weekly, we just switch it up! Never feed Goldfish or Rosey Reds as they contain Thiaminase and they cause serious vitamin deficiencies in the reptiles that eat them.
