I've had one of these for about four years now. Visually, as you can see from the sales video, it looks really good. Our neighbours very much admire it! The door & sides are sheet metal, and relatively thin, which detracted a little from the overall finish. The original powder coat paint finish deteriorated and the vivid red of the box faded quite quickly over the first couple of years, with rust spots appearing (not unexpected, of course, given the British weather) but I repainted it and this seems to have really added to the substance of the post box overall. Those extra few layers of paint, and the imperfections of brushwork gloss, really seem to have done the trick - it feels much more substantial now. The sound of the box was originally slightly "tinny", but now it is much closer to the touch and feel of an original royal mail post box. Repainted, the box is now back to its original glory, or better. I expect this post box to age very gracefully! I only paid just over a £100 for the box as I recall (it was on offer), so I think it has been excellent value for money from Black Country Metal Works. I have had a small issue with mail getting damp due to the fact the box is open and inevitably at times faces the weather... but I've just added a wire basket into the base of the box so the mail can't sit in any water that gets inside the box, and again, the issue has been totally solved. I can recommend this post box to anyone as a purchase.
