B4 I drove it that day, Burgmeister told me it’s by far the best MR upgrade (gap vs stock) so far ie compared to GT3 upgrade. It settles the car for much better handling. It was certainly true. I’ve never driven SSR so I can’t comment on that one.

@ the front of the 4RS is nervous indeed, the biggest setback and not confidence inspiring, and it has happy tail too. Upgrading the shocks only is a big upgrade. Thx for the feedback.

Shocks will make a big difference. Personally I wouldn’t fully upgrade and we’d just enjoy the sound and accept the 4RS track compromises.

Cheers. I wasn’t the only one feeling the bumps at the end of the long straight even b4 braking. Perhaps it’s more of the track.

Both are amazing cars. I enjoyed the 991.2 for 4 years myself.

Curious to know what tilt it for you for the 991.2?

It's just a dream car for me so I don't have 1st hand experience however as a person who really adores these cars and have seen plenty of reviews of both I think the 991.2 is the sweet spot as it's beautiful not overly shouty feels right, where as the 992 I'm pretty sure it's fast however it lacks something compared to the 991.2... for example it's a bit too much for a road car with no luggage capacity and the wing is obnoxious... Also the next generation you'll probably have to have a bigger wing to compete with the 992 which doesn't make sense to me if you can understand. My top choice would be if you want manual get a 997.2 rs or a S\T. Pdk 991.2 rs.

@ Great review. I agree. The only thing I can add is that on track you reach unparalleled g-force in the 992 which is exhilarating

@@porschegt1956 so the tyres are faster and the MR kit offers no lap time is how I read that.

@@Mrdfastcarstire differential is 1.5-2s. The other 2-2.5 is in the kit (suspension, aero & downforce), which you extract on the better tires. MR setup always uses R tires (which are even more grippier)

Not as busy and drivers were on good behaviour. I agree it too hot. Did just a 3 lap stint at 9:20 with a passenger and this 5 lap one at 10am and it was 43C in car and track probably over 70C

👍both are great. Minor changes on stock. Camber all the way (2/2.1) without extensions. Touch lower front ride height and a 1 notch pitched wing.

That’s the GoPro one. It’s pretty solid and maneuverable

PAG keeps the GT3 as their flagship track car. SSR and MR upgrades include suspension and doubling the downforce thru major air movement. For me, I’ll just enjoy the cabin sound and still the 4RS is a pretty nimble car around the track.

Way too crowded with a lot unfamiliar faces. Quite uncomfortable at times.

Cheers. A fun day but with track clearing only after 12pm for this fast lap. Track temp was quite high by then so tires struggled in a few corners

Cheers. The 4RS is an amazing car in many ways: well balanced, great cabin sound, etc. I enjoy every minute in it. The 9923RS is amazing on the track. Tremendous downforce w. superior cornering, braking, etc. An all around superb track car.

A lot more downforce to pick 1 advantage. So glued esp. at mid to high speed corners and allows much later braking.

Hi. The 4RS with its mid engine is smooth with balanced throttle. Too much T and it moves. 3RS with rear engine, stiffer suspension, better aero, and wider tires maintains great grip at higher speeds in corner and in exits

Spot on choice of cars. I don’t have a manual but I’ve driven one and it’s awesome. The 4RS sound and handling just sings to me

There is just no way after hearing the gt4 rs in real life inside the cockpit that you want anything else Doesn't matter how slow the gt4 rs is, it's the only car that will put a smile on your face once you open that throttle

Bergmeister was there a few days earlier and in dry conditions he did 2:30 on Cup2 and 2:29 on Cup2R

@@porschegt1956 very good. Do you know if this lap is going to be published by porsche?? I have my 992GT3RS now run in with 2000kms and we are going to see what times we can record at Spa next week Monday and Tuesday. fingers crossed the weather is going to be good
