So this is from 6 years later, but I loved my grandma's lady banks (yellow) growing up and we got one two years ago. it's in a large pot, but it's been pretty....eh. When do you prune them? I assume now would be too late? I can never find much information on their care and my local nurseries have not been a ton of help.

That’s what I’m doing. I’ve been added a few eggs every week so my hatching time should be 3x this month. My first time doing that experiment and that’s all 20 eggs I had from my 2 hens. It sucks so bad that within 6 months I had them, my neighbors reported it to hoa and got them removed 14 total. 7 roosters , 2 laying hens and 5 pullets. But within 6 months of having them, they gave me so much joy and knowledge of from raising them from babies to laying hens and incubating 20 eggs. So far I had 1 hatching last week. Chirping every day for mommy and friends.

I split/ cut some corns of gladiolus into half, i don't know if they're going to bloom because of the splitting. but they're growing leaves beautifully. Should I keep shortening the leaves since the half corns are anyways just going to make other corns

I would leave them alone they need energy from the sun.

Have you seen Floret Flower Farm videos? She plant the zinnias she want in a covered area and introduce flies to pollinate the flowers. The varieties are pretty. I love your white, pink mix ones.

Thank you, great video. I find getting that first layer of fruit (usually peaches) really fiddly, it is a lot harder than it looks LOL I even add a drop of syrup first to make sure that the cavity is filled, but they still jump around as I build the layers. I am going to try this recipe with apricots next, but I wondered how the skins turn out when they are canned. Are the apricot skins soft? I never see instructions to peel apricots, yet they recommend peeling peaches. Thank you.

Tried the carrot and green onion seed tape the last 3 years. Total bust. Won't try again. Excellent soil in raised beds. Been farming for 57 years. Short cuts don't always work well.

Thanks for your advice. Our first bird was an orphan rooster and we really want to keep him but unfortunately he's become too aggressive to enter the pen. I've been guilty of running away so I'm going to use your advice to try and stand my ground. We're 10 weeks away from snow so hopefully we can tame him. We'll keep you posted.

Thank you sooooooooo much for the help with this. Funny enough, i live in New York, and my neighbors were moving to Florida and i had ALWAYS adored these plants that they had (which turned out to be Lambs ears). Well, before they moved, they were kind enougb to dig up quite a few plants and give them to me. Well i initially planted some in a more sun filled place in my yard (behind and around the back of my mailbox. I kinda made a horeshoe shape around the back of the mailbox). Then i took a couple, (2 or 3), and plqnted them further up my yard, toward my house (which gets about half the amount of sun as the mailbox area gets). Well for the following 2 summers, i saw NOTHING GROW. To say the least, i was sad, 😢, lol! Thinking that id killed them due to the trauma of transplant. But suddenly, 3 su.mers later, (THIS SUMMER), as im mowing my lawn, i noticed 3 of these LAMB EARS!!!!!!! AMAZING!!! Id love to show you a quick video and get your advice if at all possible. My e-mail is: [email protected]. i look forward to getting more advice from you if you wohldnt mind! This video was GRRRREAT!!!

Cosmos don't like to be be fertilized but snap dragons do. Since I have containers, if trailing snap dragons are planted around the cosmos would that work?
@MilkAndHoneyAcreage
@MilkAndHoneyAcreage Ай бұрын
Cosmos do like be fertilised it just has to be the right kind. Something lower in nitrogen like a slow release. I’m sure trailing snaps will be fine near the cosmos.

I am going to try this have one hen I think is broody after seeing your video I realize she is broody! I did separate her and one rooster placed them in a cage right next to the chicken pen. We are not allowed to let them range freely 😢 in our county Gloucester VA. And in the past ,our neighbor calls animal control on us 😢. But praying their hearts will change!

I highly recommend this link for truly understanding your roosters and preventing and ending any aggression. Problem is if we dominate our roosters often the successful results are only short term. The roosters nature is to always be the alpha so it’s only a matter of time before they challenge head rooster (you)…..as roosters do in nature. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoWzpJtqaaZ8l80si=jkLyAdtkM4q3eexd.
