The riveria polo, they say was cut for Daniel Craig. He’s short, I’m not. I hope the next Bond is 6´4”, so the future clothes, fit me better.

I do have a selection from Sunspel and N Peal though.

I was shocked to discover a few years ago that I grew up only a couple of miles at most from the Sunspel factory in Long Eaton England. A small place called Sandiacre. In fact I worked in a place when I first left school only meters from Sunspel & I never new it was there.

Hi David I love the polos and pants. Given the way the jacket was fitting -I probably wouldn't go for it unless it could be altered significantly enough to keep the shoulders from looking a bit odd when articulating your arms and the chest area in my opinion wasn't draping well. I’d probably just find a tailor and go the MTM route for the jacket. I do like the color combination and the overall style! At the very least it’s a point of inspiration for ideas when having something made.

David, that pink polo fits you so much better than the skin tight one that you were wearing in the beginning. Just some friendly advice. Love your channel and love Sunspel.

Love Sunspel! I bought a light blue toweling polo from Sunspel that has a ribbed collar and no breast pocket, that I felt was more screen accurate than the Orlebar Brown one. I did have to shorten the sleeves just a bit though.

“Goldfinger” is the most overrated of the Bond films! There is not a trace of the tension and suspense of “From Russia With Love” (Connery’s own favourite). Of all the directors, Guy Hamilton is the most lacking in style or imagination. His films, including this one, have not aged well. James Bond doesn’t come across as too bright. He bungles his use of the Aston-Martin and then spends most of the film as a captive. (In Kentucky: gee, how exciting!) The toss-around in the barn belongs in a Pink Panther movie. Thanks to Bob Simmons, the Oddjob fight is dull and the assault on Fort Knox almost laughable - take note of when the troops are gassed! The climax demonstrates the mediocrity of the process and model work, including Goldfinger’s death. I’m always amazed when people think of “Goldfinger” as cool and sophisticated. But when a golf game is one of the highlights, you know there’s a problem!

I tried. I started 11pm on Tuesday and we are midday Friday and I was so weak and irritable and tired I gave up and had some chicken. It was the best that I have ever eaten. Maybe I should not have continued to do a daily run. I was sleeping for 10 hours which is unlike me. I came close. I just felt like I would pass out.

Interesting video. For me, the Craig films and Craig's Bond have lost their charm and potency as time has gone on. They're all too po-faced and self-regarding ultimately, with only Casino Royale really landing for me in that vein (and is that the kind of trick you call only pull once?). I used to love "Skyfall" but now the plot inconsistencies and contrivances makes a bit wince making. I don't know where they will go from here, especially given how febrile the real world is right now. Unlikely due to business pressure I know, but artistically Bond needs to rested for a decade or so and then brought back, probably as a period piece. The character needs to be in the right context to both work and not immediately become a lightning rod for current sensitivities.

Quantum of Solace is not a revenge movie, bond is trying to solve the traitor situation and his grief while learning how to trust if even his bosses cia etc are against him

You can watch any James Bond filmed from two different points of view. You can focus on the actor or you can focus on the movie overall. Either way gives you a different experience. But with Timothy every time I’ve ever watched his films, I pick up more nuance out of it. He really was James Bond.

This movie is right up there with Moonraker and Octopussy as the worst Bond movies. "I'm Mr. Kill." -"Now there's a name to die for." Yuck. And the Michael Madsen character was awful.
