There is absolutely nothing a Dermatologist can do to treat the underlying cause of Venous Insufficiency. Only a Vascular Specialist (Phlebologist) can do that.
@thevikig420
@thevikig420 8 ай бұрын
Did I say there was? That irrelevant comment aside there has to be things you can do to fight the underlying causes of it is all I was saying. And if you are going to contest that I don’t even know. Lay down your guns and submit to a life of disease eve I guess Jesus. All I was saying is my color on my leg HAS got significantly better with only compression and no visit to any vascular surgeon. Also healed up two wounds bigger than a softball on my leg. Barley any scarring. Was told I could do either of those. Not saying they aren’t trying their best but the medical progression doesn’t have every case of everything to study or reference. Living healthier is a win win situation.

@@thevikig420 sorry, but you mentioned gaining weight and smoking cigarettes. I have been through the lot and now cured. I was and still am an extremely fit, slim athletic runner, yet I still suffered a freak DVT through the contraceptive pill. I developed Thrombotic Syndrome through this and suffered venous leg ulcers for eight years. I was referred to Dermatologists, Vascular teams the lot, within our UK NHS. All they did was just manage the symptom. I eventually referred myself to a specialist vein clinic in London and had three procedures which actually treated the underlying cause… Endovenous Laser Ablation Therapy together with Transluminal Occlusion of Perforators (I had four damaged perforators) followed after the necessary eight week gap with Ultrasound Guided Foam Sclerotherapy. It was the best £6,000 I ever spent and I haven’t looked back since 2018. My procedures were carried out by Professor Mark Whiteley Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Consultant Phlebologist. Him and a colleague invented the TRLOP procedure and he also performed the first endovenous keyhole surgery for varicose veins in 1999 and also performed the first Microwave Varicose Veins Ablation in Europe, in February 2019. No Dermatologist involved in my treatment, just Phlebologists and Interventional Radiologists, AND no living healthy did anything for me. You can live as healthy as you want that ain’t going to help the damaged valves in your veins dear.

Venous insufficiency has little to do with circulation and more to do in the collapsed valves in your veins causing the blood to pool.

A simple and very effective way to treat a leg ulcer is the DermaDomus wound cover. Or the PodoPhylus antimicrobial insole for foot ulcers. It has a controlled release of iodine gas over the ulcer without touching it. It works very well and fast!

Does a couple spider veins in bottom of foot mean ssv reflux if it's on the outer foot. I know the inner leg indicates gsv reflux. But does the outter now mean the small saphenous vein is refluxing. Can gsv reflux cause some spider veins in both sides of foot. Last ultrasound I didn't have ssv reflux

@@eveoakley6270 it freaking sucks man. The itching is unbearable lmao. 1% hydrocortisone only works and it only helps maybe a little bit. The shit itched so bad that I ended up scratching/nicked one of the veins and blood kept shooting out my foot - took me an hr to get the bleeding to slow down. Also, it has its period when it “flares up” like the entire region of the ulcer will just be burning for no reason. I just hope it doesn’t progress to me having my leg amputated

Does closing a large vein like gsv cause other veins that weren't refluxing at the time start to reflux!? Such as aasv and ssv.. also perforator veins? From the increased venous blood flow no longer being helped by gsv. Its just a theory of mine. Thank you

Why do some people get protruding veins and some don't? Evlt seems not to bad but phelebectomy really has me not wanting to go through with it. Ive heard so many stories of gsv reopening again and them having alot more veins and pain they didn't have before. Multiple phelebectomys. Why would gsv reopen? I e talked to a few people that said its more common then everyone says
