There is a wonderful back story of this piano and performance...this Bösendorfer Imperial model 290 previously belonged to Val, so if you search back, you will see many previous recordings on this piano in her home. The piano was then sent off to the factory for restoration. After restoration, it lingered in Vienna in limbo for far too long. It was then shipped here to sell...we are both a Bösendorfer dealer and restoration facility, so we were well equipped to represent this instrument. Sadly, the cabinet was damaged while in transit. We sold the piano within days of arrival even before the repairs and this video is Val's reunion with her instrument that she last saw years ago before it was sent to Vienna. What a happy reunion! The new owner is thrilled and I'm glad her fans could enjoy her playing this instrument one last time. - The PianoWorks Team
