I brought same projector. No it doesn’t look that good in day light. When shoot a video, it does look good. It’s iPhone camera that’s enhancing colors. Projector is good at night even with a lot of lights. But not good with daylight.

Grey screen, can be used for all types of projector

Now I got it! You are using an ALR screen and that screen is really for UST projectors. Whereas the Horizon suffers from that screen coz not really for it's intended screen, but still the horizon shows the ability to compete it. Can you pls try on a plain wall? Thank you!

I can very well understand your concern. The screen used is cheap grey screen, which equally gives good performance for ust, short throw, medium throw and long throw projectors. According to live observations, XGIMI Horizon stand no chance against Mi Fengmi R1. However if you want to still look the other way, you can.

I just ordered the new r1 u5000 model. More brightness updated software. It comes in a different color. Matte black with gold accents

Why the screen is not fully occupied? How far will it be to fit your screen & what is the size on that screen?

Our table to keep projector is not big enough so screen not fully occupied. Size size is 100" . To fit the screen it has to be kept 24cms away

@@ManishMMishra Thanks for the reply, but I think 55cm away to give you only 100" is not really a UST projector. So I'm still considering a standard throw projector.

Yes they are in same price category. Yes you are correct Mi Fengmi has better price quality, but I will like to rectify / add to your words, Mi Fengmi R1 has better picture quality in each and every video apart then major difference UST vs Longer throw and many more ...

@@displaylou You are asking for wrong comparison. Horizon pro is native 4K, so you you compare with Mi Mijia 4k UST laser projector global or Mi Fengmi formovie global version. All are in same price range. 🌞🌞
