I know you made this a long time ago, but you can leave out the rectifier diodes at the end of the motor. These small brushed DC motors are making DC voltages, you only need one diode for reverse current protection, thus you only lose one diode voltage not two.

This speaker is very quiet because of the crude construction. But yeah it works, there are many similar videos now on making homemade speakers if you want to confirm if it works. Feel free to search up DIY speaker on KZbin for other better builds.

I am interested in these mic capsule designs. But I need a contact mic with a suprfice (metal, wood, masonry, etc.). How can I hear sounds, noises, night voices and record them professionally? Even 10 meters away. Thank you very much.

I got a tesla coil on ebay with the coils prewound, it comes with a hopefully very durable TiP42C power transistor, and an extra one, it came assembled but i will try halving the # of primary windings to see if it doubles voltage. Also here is a fun idea, a tesla generator, manually or motor drive a permanent magnet or electromagnet to make the primary's oscillating field. Its a cool project, and the preassembled one is $20/27.5 sh/h, cheapest is a $7-8 kit from China.

Hello, I’m beginning to learn about this... could you please explain why you did 30 and 15 turns when coiling? Does it not matter how many turns you make or is their a math that needs to be followed? Hope to hear from you soon, thank you!
@AHElectronics
@AHElectronics 3 жыл бұрын
Hello, this is an old project so I do not remember the exact specifics. However, the schematic is incorrect. Both coils are 30 turns, however the coil connected to the transistor (the transmitter circuit) has a center tap at 15 turns. So basically there is a section of the wire that is uninsulated at 15 turns. The battery is connected to that center tap of the coil. One end of the coil connects to the resistor, the other end of the coil connects to the transistor. This is done to ensure we can have a changing Voltage across the coil. The coil in the transmitter circuit and receiver circuit both have 30 turns. When they are close to each other they form an air core transformer, where the voltage across the receiver circuit is proportional to the ratio of the turns between the two coils (ideally). As long as the receiver is higher number of turns than the transmitter you shouldn't have a problem, this is an extremely simple and forgiving circuit. Hope that helps.
