A Church being a bigger family to manage, requires the ability to manage your personal smaller family. Therefore, like the Bible puts it that no spring can bring forth both fresh and salty water, similarly, there's no greatness in a church leader who cannot manage his own family. Just give such a person a few years and if they can't put their family right, their ministry will begin to scramble badly. 🙏

Men are equally abused only that they are shy to report to authority and most people think it's not possible for a woman to abuse a man
@SamuelBakutana
@SamuelBakutana 2 жыл бұрын
That's so true, Tom. A lot of abuse against men is happening but the ego won't allow most of us the men to seek for help or even just say it that we are being tormented. The reality going on is unprecedented.

The yes or no was hot . Actually men are abused and left with no option but to fight back as defence .some fight in form of withdrawal.

You're right, Joan, on all your observations. Hmmmm, the number of men who have turned either physically violent or passively aggressive due to their own emotional (or even physical) abuse is sky high.

Oh yes! That's it, Gloria. When you're going through the valley, it's difficult to see any good therein but when you look deeper, for longer, and look again, with time you may be amazed at how all things ultimately work out for our good only if we can be "gain opportunists" - people who look for the gain in the pain. This can be YOUR reality right now, right here, TODAY!

Thank you Samuel! I like your video quality! My question though - sometimes the pain is so debilitating that you cannot do anything! As a thought leader, what can one do in such moments of intense pain,?
@SamuelBakutana
@SamuelBakutana 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you too, Betty, for watching, complimenting and interacting here. I like your inquiry. So, like you said, "sometimes the pain is so debilitating that you CANNOT DO ANYTHING!" And your inquiry is "WHAT CAN ONE DO in such moments of intense pain?" Maybe one day this should be the subject of another video due to its richness and seriousness. But in the meantime, here are starting thoughts on what one CAN DO when one CANNOT DO anything! :-) 1. Remember that you're not DEAD. "Debilitating" is about something that causes "serious impairment of strength or ability to function". Something debilitating does the work of "making someone or something physically weak". It cripples, disables and leaves blunt --- taking away one's "cutting edge". It causes weakness, not death (unless it is not attended to as in the next points below.) But the good news is that it does not leave you breathless. This sounds like a no-brainer but you cannot imagine how many people act like they are already dead when subjected to intense pressure or pain. Remind yourself that you are not dead and a lot is still very possible for you as long as you STILL have breath in your nostrils. 2. Humbly reach out and seek the help of your available FRIENDS. A strong social support network has always been proven to be a great antidote to matters of stress, depression, and even certain physical ailments! Friends may not TAKE AWAY the pain but they can make it MORE BEARABLE than if you didn't have them. It is dangerous to stay alone in your own corner of life in moments of the intense pain of life - be it physical, emotional or otherwise. Reach out. And when you do, cut back on arguments, obstinacy, and the "hero" mindset at that point: simply listen more than you talk, learn more than you teach, appreciate more than you criticize, accept their "ministry" more in your life than ever before, and be happy to be vulnerable! That is the healing place for the humble and the rejuvenating centre for the not-alone. 3. Seek PROFESSIONAL attention/assistance. This is especially relevant when you realize that this "intense pain" is not going to be taken casually and simply being exposed to friends and family as if it is a simple thing... I have observed that there are very many people in our midst who are moving around with medical conditions they are either not yet aware of or not willing to take to professionals for help. Sometimes the pain may be in need of a professional counsellor - especially those intense emotional pains that are not hurting the body yet leaving one an emotional disaster. Sometimes the pain may actually be in need of a medical doctor. This also takes humility, wisdom and undying love for life. Bonus: Often it requires power beyond human power - the reason why it helps a lot to have an internal reservoir of spiritual resources to fall back to when yourself and those around you can no longer be the medicine! "Lean not on your own understanding..." I hope this just starts the discussion on what one CAN DO when one CANNOT DO anything! :-) I strongly appreciate your question. Others here can add to this... or you can also share your experience and what you have done before that really helped when you were in the midst of debilitating pain. Salute!
