I have this watch and it is beautiful, and a perfect size; chunky but not overly big. However I made the mistake of getting it with the resin strap, which is far too small unless you have thin wrists. I had to buy the steel strap afterwards. I'm not a very big guy; I have 3 other G-shocks with resin straps and they are all fine. This resin strap is just made way too small. Unless you are very thin please buy the steel strap! It is much more stylish anyway; well worth the extra money!

Doesn’t the buckle seem too large for the strap? It rides up and off the wrist. A smaller square shaped buckle with no curves would be perfect and it would keep the watch from moving around on the wrist.

Thank you for your very timely review. I just purchased the Black one today as my Casio Protrek Pathfinder Pag-40 of many years and many adventures developed fog in the case and gave up the ghost when I tried to dry it out. Too many stripped threads, broken plastic parts and ERR messages for the Baro and Altimeter.

My wife has a six and a half inch wrist, just like most reviewers on youtube. I, however, have a man sized wrist and am disappointed with the size of this excellent looking watch. It looks silly on my 8 3/4 incher.

I don't think it is a small watch for 42 mm size when you have a lot of luxury brand watches in this size range. This G shock aims to be in a sort of dress watch category IMO.

I just received this watch 2 days ago, the 42mm is not a true 42...it really wears smaller than my 40mm watches and it will look too small on any wrist above 7inch for sure. I have a 6.3inch wrist so it fits well.
