Does X-20 thinner affect the paint surface? I want to do lining on the painted area, but I'm concerned the thinner might erase it as well. im just started this hobby :D

I'll have to try the cement + sanding technique after scribing to smooth out the lines. On my last kit I rescribed the panel lines with no cement and the panel lines were very rough and uneven. Thank you for all the knowledge in your videos, I'm always learning something new.

To builders out there: how do you keep track of the parts (or part numbers) whenever you cut all pieces off from the runners before building? I usually only cut the parts I need by the time I need to use them for the assembly.

Its hard to find the MadWorks sanding sponges in Aus, what would you recommend in alternative brands such as Dspiae or Godhand ( grit and thickness). Thanks

When cleaning the panel lining, how is it able to only remove the panel lining excess and not the paint that you sprayed on? Is it simply because the panel lining is fresh? I would be worried about taking too much paint off, so to speak.

What was your reason for plastic cementing after sanding?
@spacetojump333614 күн бұрын
why do you cement your panel lines, is that in place of sanding because of the tight space?

First off, we need @0:39 looped for ten hours. Second, thank you for this. I have never built anything with foam or plastic card. I have made stuff with Super Sculpey. I want to make a dumpster fire. So the dumpster will be card, the trash will be clay, and I am not sure what I am doing for the "fire" yet.

Google Airbrush Drybooth. They will help your paints cure more quickly so you can do subsequent layers without needing to wait overnight. I have one that allows me to paint of my lacquers after 30min-1hour vs a couple hours or overnight.

I'm not sure how I ended up here, but what is actually happening in this video? something for miniatures? some kind of sculpting technique? The title and description don't convey a lot of information.

Thank you for making a video detailing this! Funny enough, I came to this conclusion and started doing this on my own not long after my first few kits without actually knowing what the name of this technique was. I was sick of my panel lines along edges or indented sections smearing or getting erased when I cleaned them up with a polymer eraser or IPA. I found tutorials on custom scribing but realized I could apply the same concept to existing panel lines and part edges/indents where there wasn't to get the grooves I needed. My panel lining has been like night and day since and worth the extra time investment.
