I am working at a fast-food as a cashier, and I encountered people who can't speak. I wanted to talk to them but I can't because I don't know how to use sign language. It's been 2 weeks now since I started watching this kind of video on YT and guess whattttt... I had a deaf customer last day and I was finally able to talk to them with the few phrases I learned here. They are so glad they can talk to me in a language they know. He and his wife thanked me before leaving the store. I had a happy heart that day and felt so proud. My managers are so shocked with the few sign language I used and praised me. I don't need to be praised though, I just really wanted other people to feel important by learning their language and being able to talk/connect with them.

Dear RAI ZASON, Good Day! I hope you’re doing well! My name is Pia Marie G. Cuade, and I am currently working with my team on a capstone project called GESTOCOM: Real-Time Translation for Filipino Sign Language at Pangasinan State University-Urdaneta Campus. We came across one of your videos and were really impressed by it. We think it would be a perfect fit for our project, which is all about making communication easier for the deaf and hard-of-hearing communities by developing a real-time sign language translation tool. With that in mind, we’re kindly asking for your permission to use your video as part of our project. Rest assured, we’d make sure to give you full credit, and if there are any conditions you’d like us to follow, we’d be more than happy to discuss them. We would be incredibly grateful for your support in helping us bring this important project to life. Thank you so much for considering our request I have sent you in facebook the complete letter for fomality Feel free to contact us❤

Why do we use english words for FSL, or is it that you used english language for this vedio purposes only?

I really wanted to try and learn sign language because it was honestly embarrassing and terribly ignorant of me when I got the chance to interact with a deaf employee when I was ordering from Subway a few months back. I didn't wear my glasses and I have terrible vision, I didn't notice there were signs on the menu, I couldn't even see it clearly. I didn't even know he was deaf so I kept saying my order and when I realized because he pointed at the sign language instructions by the walls, I couldn't see it clearly and was flustered. I just pointed at my order at the menu. I noticed he was kinda exasperated with the whole situation. He later went in the kitchen and didn't go out for a while. The other workers seem to be laughing and alienating him. I felt really bad because maybe I made him and the other workers feel that he couldn't do his job well. Not his fault at all, I was just very ignorant and flustered that I couldn't communicate. I don't know if I could still come back to that Subway store and see him there one day and be able to order with sign language. I wanted to apologize too but I didn't have the courage at that time to go and find him.

learning a sign language is a must. But also nowadays AI is a really big help to those people with disabilities. I'm a half deaf. My left ear is not functioning anymore ever since i was a child. I had a mumps during that time and it affects the whole area of my left ear which sadly did not healed. But im still happy that i have 1 ear left and afraid that i may not be able to use it one day or due to an accident. But hopefully nothing will happen. Anyways, it's nice knowing your channel. It really helps , hope you continue for being a good teacher to us and help those in needs. Godbless
