I went to cove creek yesterday on Christmas Eve for my first time hunting, got to my spot at 3 because I didn’t get off work till 2, I saw a doe within 15 mins of being out there but I can only get a buck out here. Absolutely gorgeous out here

Slay Ferrell goats with it here in New Zealand Awkward to carry in the bush but passes straight threw animals with precision Better than the jag2 as slightly smaller but still does the job

Not incredibly surprised…. I have seen several jerks driving on closed roads while there. I believe the majority of the turkey hunters there are road hunters and actually have zero real hunting skills. Sorry you had that experience.

It happens, if I didn't have at least one instance of game being run off a year from hikers, mountain bikers, other hunters, ect. I'd be worried 😂

I do agree with the buy the best you can afford motto but......There are some things you start out clueless with, maybe cheaper and especially simpler is a better starting point. (As usual) I've seen contradictory advice on crossbows on YT, your environment and situation may be different from xy and z on yt too. These crossbows are like a lower end Mora knife, they're good enough to learn what it is you do and don't need/like before you stick with it, modify it or get a different one.

Anyone know which string to use? I bought a Anglo arms string made by Archery Research that said it was for the jaguar 175lb but it was to short. Anyone know where I went wrong

*I think it is a great crossbow.>>>**t.co/0lFWjoVsN9** I wish the Co. would set up the gladiator like the sniper. the ball bearing that holds the arrow in the rail works better then the spring. I love the scope it has cross hairs the gladiator had circles. the first thing I did was change the scope on the gladiator. They need to put the scopes on the sniper on all there bows. Great bow an very accurate.*

I have 150lb otherwise same.Elevation wheel is totally crap, made from plastic and it wont last long, it will break.Extend lifetime for it by using back of the rail allen screw support

Got your link off of go wild and I can tell one thing that I learned in my years of turkey hunting and theirs one thing you absolutely must do to harvest a Tom and that is perfect the method of putting a bird to bed and studying a bird enough to know when he comes off the roost which way is he going if you know those two things you'll harvest a trophy every year! Remember the evening sit is about listening that's it just listen and that bird will let out one gobble from the limb right before dark and if he doesn't go again another evening he will and once he does move a little closer and do it again the next day and try to see what tree he's in once you do that you've got him! Get there way before daylight and walk in your dang socks if you got too and get set up on the direction he's going and don't call just use your wing and maybe once purr but no yelping he'll come investigate and if he does quit gobbling he's coming your way wait at least 45 to hour and half! Remember put em to bed this key to getting the trophy Tom, I did this for years and it's too easy!

Rowdy Broomstick that cluck and purr is the ticket, I called in one yesterday that I choked on and he was hung up on the Ridge behind me so I quite yelping and started purring and scratching leaves and he came on in. I choked be he was within gun range, another story for another time, lol.

Hi. Are those 2219 arrows you are using? My Jaguar came with 2018 arrows (sort of red/purple colour) which are pretty flimsy, I tried using 2219 arrows but they were too big to fit under the sight rail, seemed to catch on a screw or something. Anyway, good choice. Nice simple, reliable crossbow with enough power to get the job done. These bows are actually just a clone of the old Barnett Wildcat which was a great bow.

hello i have only the 175 lb prod and i built a beautiful stock for the crossbow from wood. and i made the string myself (failed the make the prod tips from polymer clay [they broke]) i am new to crossbows and you seem to know about the arrows alot so i was wondering how does it work? i saw in aliexpress 13.5" arrows 6 of them for 3 dollars but are they too small? what does the weight and size of the arrow do? it would be great if i can shoot 13.5" arrows instead of 20" because its alot cheaper
@jjwilliamn4407
@jjwilliamn4407 3 жыл бұрын
@@rivenmain2175 13.5 is to small you want 16 inch minimum for this bow otherwise the bolts will catch in the rail which will snap the bolt and damage the crossbow
