Getting used to a new bike is a normal thing, but for the bike, getting used to it's new rider... yes, something quite interesting 😝 And uh, about that TET: just come to the Belgian Ardennes: real good trails and even the regular roads are that full with potholes, sand and tree roots, growing thru the asphalt, that you might think it's offroad 🤪 Nice vid again! 👍😜

Oh yes the keyboard warriors, don't you just love them, Super Heroes every one of them 😂 It doesn't seem to make sense to me to own a second bike for off- roading when there's no local roads to take them on. Part of the reason I bought the KTM 890 Adventure R was to do just that, although a bigger bike it's very capable. Sadly all the gnarly roads I remember from childhood are now Private access for posh house owners. Still it's a great winter hack and very well appointed to cope with less than favourable road conditions.

@@GermanJobbies it would be interesting though to test out different suspension settings. I was mindblown how much of a difference tightening the rear compression/rebound screw made. My rear was fishtailing on hard accel when I was quickshifting, probably because of my mighty leg thrust :) Now it's rock stable. So going the opposite direction, both front and rear, should make it abosrb bumps better on "offroad". Of course there's the risk of bottoming out with too soft settings. One day ....

My Season started too😂. I recently got a 10L Kriega US bag & 2 Oxford Stash bags yo carry 1L bottle but actually 900ml of water in metal container a 1500ml metal Fuel container which actually only holds 1275ml cause need room at top for fuel ⛽️ expansion & not to spill over tank.I mount them on side of bike so far just the water on side of bike upright.Didn't want to put fuel container in stash bag on opposite side as it only just above pipes & bike got pipe on each side. Can mount it sideways on grab rail though but upright be better but don't think it'll leak lying sideways.

Also got me a Mini rechargeable lithium battery 🔋 jumpstarter too to go with my Mini rechargeable lithium battery air compressor & chuck all them along with wet over pants 👖 in the Kreiga 10L bag.I did a video 📹 about all my new gear ⚙️. Speedtwin 900 only has 12L tank so having extra 1275ml of fuel ⛽️ be handy that's extra 25km range although the 900cc is really economical easily get 200km off 9L or 2 gallons mixed riding & upto 75mph occasionally. If just going 100kmh is more like 4.2L/100km.

Another review by a bloke that waffles on and never opens the throttle or gets on a bit of dirt. After 102,000km in outback South Australia, I can tell you way more about this bike than Mr Boring Commuter. It's a long way to anywhere from here, there's a lot of dirt/back tracks in every direction, and I love to let mine off the chain. All the power you'll ever need. Haven't seen any Ewan/Charlie copycats on my street yet, because they are afraid of coming up short on talent and horsepower. My traction control is always off, because I trust my decades of bush riding more than I trust a computer. Shame you can't the same to the abs if you ask me. It's the modern way I guess. Having said that, if you haven't got a few skills, don't ride this bike in my backyard. It's not a beginner's bike. It has over 100hp and 100nm of torque. And If you need to rely on electronics to keep you upright, you may as well buy a 250! Open highway is great. Stacks of instant grunt to overtake tripple trailered road trains in a flash. Decent range too. Up to 400km at cruising speed. Handles totally amazing on the dirt. Absolutely heaps of power to chew up the terrain. Shinko 705 tyres on mine for confidence. Two up is no problem with all that torque. When I do the 6 hour ride to the city, I love that I am head and shoulders over the traffic. 0 to 100 in under 3 seconds comes in handy too. Sport bikes love to drag off everyone and indulge in lots of ducking and weaving. They get a bit of a surprise when some bloke on a dusty ag bike is glued to their arse. Reliability is second to none. I have an old dl650 with 165,000km on it in my shed. When I upgraded, I was unable to get a decent price as a trade in, so I kept it. No sign of a rattle, oil leak, or even so much as a blown globe! Pretty sure no GS could make that claim. I love mine. I ride it so much harder than this video, and it never ever misses a beat. Ever! The best bit is the price. What's not to like? Happy trails

I thought you might enjoy my experiences with the amazing v strom. Putting around suburbia is a total waste of this weapon. These things are built to take on the tough stuff, and to keep on going for hundreds of thousands of km. I've even ridden mine up Mt Wudinna, get this, two-up!! That's a bloody big granite rock in my front yard, second only in size to Australia's biggest rock Uluru in the red centre. Take my word for it mate, it's not called an "adventure" bike for nothing. Crack the throttle, and don't hang on so tight! These bikes go on so much better than you realise. Enjoy. Happy trails
