So what excactly is broken about downhill? After the change you can only supertuck when your not in the draft, which is why some tried to attack at the beginning of downhill and get first to supertuck. I think it makes the race more interesting, before it was impossible to get away on downhills

Because I'm surging at 500 watts and not even making a dent into guys coasting. Because it in no way even approximates real world physics. Because it's only that hill. Because it's unexpected behaviour. Do I need to keep going? It's dumb as fuck. Guys are exploiting a loophole and taking an advantage not based on fitness or skill. which is typical Zwift I guess. Remember, this is the moaning channel. ;-)

Why do they cheat? I can keep better watts on zwift than on the road. I have garmin pedals and hold 350 for 1 hour 215 for 5 hours but I don't cheat no point. Good clip keep it up please.

you may not have increased your Vo2 max. you may have have increased your anaerobic work capacity. kolie, probably would not suggest doing V02 4x4 each week, year round, or doing a 2 week block of 8 sessions. you may have created hormonal/blood changes, which may well drop off quickly, and those watts may drop back down. however, i applaud your consistent work, and test it out and see approach.

Good video and nice improvement. How did your final heart rate of 161 compare with previous sessions and what percentage of max HR was it. How did the next 3 intervals go Do you not average power across all 4 intervals, otherwise you might two two hard and fade right off for the last two.

I had heart ablation procedure on Jan 25, 2023 and it completely fixed the issue. I'm hoping you have the same success I did. It is life changing. I wish I had done it 10 years ago. Good luck and keep us posted on your recovery.

I had a successful ablation for SVT about 10 years ago. It took 3 attempts at the procedure before they were able to observe it in action and zap it. Loads of premature beats as well so really bad for sleeping and just living. The drugs all sucked and didn't work (waste of time). Having the 14 day continuous monitor helped a lot with identifying it (Zio patch). The fix was amazing and now in my 50s I am fitter than ever. Some people have to repeat the procedure but my view is it's totally worth it.

Nice improvement, but studies from Seiler have shown that for most individuals 4x8min @90% HR is better than 4x4min @95% HR. Why are so many people just follow podcast claims instead actual science ?

The title is quite misleading. You increased your 4 min power by 53W, which is quite impressive, but you haven't done anything to measure VO2(max). Which is not masured in watts, but rather as volume/mass/time, most often milliliters/kg/min.

He may be referring to pVO2 max which is power at VO2 max which is still a good measure of progress.
@kokonanana17 ай бұрын
EXACTLY!!!
@gerrysecure58744 ай бұрын
True but nitpicking. 4min power is strongly correlated with vo2max. The anaerobic component is relatively small. If you push 400W for 240 sec its 100kJ while anaerobic contribution is somewhere between 15 and 30kJ.
@tonyh18597 ай бұрын
Interesting, if your real vo2max (max oxygen volume consumption) is increased, or it's just that you trained your body? Good job, anyway!

Because bars are too wide / hoods aren't turned in. It messes up your posture with wrist angle. When he moves his hands to the middle of the bars his shoulders relax and drop because his wrist angle is no longer screwed.

@M B, just one note that in real life cycling the analogy we can also make that extraordinary performance will be verified in out of sport boundaries like doping tests. They are "out of sport approaches" (how to name it best) to verify the performance.
