We can certainly still adore Susan Lucci, shes a nice lady and she is very pretty. But let’s not start to believe she knows how to act. She can memorize and recite lines of dialogue, but it is obvious here that she does not know what she is doing.

That's a matter of opinion. Erica Kane is a cultural icon, I don't think that happens if Susan Lucci doesn't absolutely own that character. This fight was ridiculous, but it was meant to be so. It's classic Erica and it was fun to watch.

@@troublealways3405 well like i said the fact that her acting skills are weak has nothing to do with our enjoyment of her work. When she did tv movies with bigger budgets, she ended up looking like a better actress because the editing on tv movies was always better than daytime…they cut the weak stuff out.

@@Mister_Listener again, it's a matter of opinion, which you're entitled to. So many people with so many opinions on what does and does not constitute strong acting. It just so happens that I don't think that she gets enough credit for her body of work. She made a soap opera character a household name, weak acting doesn't do that imo. I love how you say that she appeared to be a stronger actress in the made for tv stuff because they know how to edit out the weak acting. It makes me laugh that you honestly use that to make a point, as if better writing and better direction doesn't improve one's acting ability 😂. Like I said, you're entitled to your opinion, but just because it's what YOU believe, it doesn't make it fact. It is what it is, just your opinion.

@@Mister_Listener well I am certainly glad that you won't be replying any more because it would be futile. I know people in the industry who happen to think that she is a good actress. Also, she did get an award for her acting, which imo should have been more. That's neither here nor there. Just because you're in the industry doesn't automatically make you the ultimate judge of talent. That's why it's hard for critics and audiences to agree on what is considered good and bad. You have your criteria for good and someone else has theirs. You spoke as if your OPINION was law, when in fact it was just your opinion. It is just the way that you perceive things to be. I definitely didn't intend this as an argument, just sharing my opinion that differs from yours. Be blessed!

Walt is very technical in his acting when he had scenes with other actresses, such as Julia Barr. But with Susan, he was just very natural and real.

I always loved how Jackson didn’t really take Erica’s crap. He was strong, firm, but loving. This character was so well written, and Walt Willey played it exceptionally well. Most of all I love Travis’ reading and Bianca’s answer. A much better time.

The scene of Wally and Brenda clasping hands to Michael Jackson’s “She’s out of my life” was very well done and one of the best I’ve ever seen done on tv. It was very romantic but innocent and I will remember them when I hear their song. Oh how I wish people could hold on to that.
