As much as this scene makes me laugh and smile, it still moves me, even to the point of tears. Bruno's dad firmly believes in his son's talent and loves him that much to even blast his music out in the streets, not caring at all what people will think of it. Reminds me of *my* dad. Thanks so much for sharing it:) RIP Irene Cara and Eddie Barth

And this event produced the biggest traffic jam ever in USA. 36 years later something similar happened in LA when a huge crowd started to dance and sing in the middle of the highway because it was another day of sun…

2:24 on after Bruno's dad starts fighting and the cameras pan out until the end of the sequence. Some of the greatest footage ever put on film. Goose bumps every time. Happy 40th anniversary Laguardia (really from a Fame standpoint)! RIP Alan Parker!

Your songs remind me of swimming Which I forgot when I started to sink Drank further away from the shore And deeper into the drink Sat on the bottom of the ocean, A stern and stubborn rock 'Cause your songs remind me of swimming, But somehow I forgot I was sinking, but now I'm sunk And I was drinking, and now I'm drunk Your songs remind me of swimming But somehow I forgot I tried to remember the chorus I can't remember the verse Cause that song that sent me swimming Is now the life jacket that burst Rotting like a wreck on the ocean floor Sinking like a siren that can't swim anymore Your songs remind me of swimming But I can't swim any more Pull me out the water, cold and blue I open my eyes and I see that it's you So I dive straight back in the ocean So I dive straight back in the ocean Take a deep breath, suck the water in my chest Take a deep breath, suck the water in my chest And cross my fingers, and hope for the best Then all of a sudden, I heard a note It started in my chest and ended in my throat Then I realized, then I realized, then I realized I was swimming, yes, I was swimming And now I'm swimming, yes, I am swimming Your songs remind me of swimming Which I forgot when I started to sink Your songs remind me of swimming Which I forgot when I started to sink Oh, your songs remind me of swimming Which I forgot when I started Your songs remind me of swimming Which I forgot when I started to sink

@@babsgalv6556 heh yea I used to see all the music videos from the 80's with michale jackson and this and all those movies I thought breaking out into a dance in the street was a common thing but I was very young but it was common back then, now though you might get people dancing at a park during a festival or in small groups or at a geek convention like anime central on saturday of that can because its around chicago you still have lots of people that dj and small group partys breaking out all over the hyette where the main con events are, and in the park by the convention center and sometimes in the hallways of the hotels its a jamming time, even I and you can imagine I am no spring chicken anymore that does hiphop still from when I learned it in my late teen years around the turn of the millenium still do popping I am prob the last one of the group that does it for those that didnot become professional performers, I think coda, poppula, and pringlz still dance and perform but its been a spell since seeing any of them, and by pringlz yes I mean from the venus fly trap krew she lived in the area for several years was one of my teachers

I would not change the 80s for anything! Just pure artistic, social freedom no PC crap and these millenials have the audacity to complain of being victims? OMG the nerve to say that America is racist look at those people, fgs, from every ethnic background working their axx off to be the best and end up on the best tv show of that era! As Lydia said: You wanna fame, but FAME COST and right here you gonna pay the price with sweat", I still remember those words, i got chills everytime at the scene, playing at beginning of the show. GREAT TIMES! Evil hater Obama gotta rot in hell with Killary dividing this country with their nefarious identity politics!

We didn't care if people stared We'd make out in a crowd somewhere Somebody'd tell us to get a room It's hard to believe that was me and you Now we keep saying that we're OK But I don't want to settle for good not great I miss the way that it felt back then I wanna feel that way again Been so long that you'd forget The way I used to kiss your neck Remind me, remind me So on fire, so in love Way back when we couldn't get enough Remind me, remind me Remember the airport dropping me off We were kissing goodbye and we couldn't stop I felt bad cause you missed your flight But that meant we had one more night Do you remember how it used to be We'd turn out the lights and didn't just sleep Remind me baby remind me Oh so on fire so in love That look in your eyes that I miss so much Remind me, baby remind me I wanna feel that way Yeah I wanna hold you close Oh if you still love me Don't just assume I know Oh baby remind me, remind me Do you remember the way it felt? You mean back when we couldn't control ourselves Remind me, yeah remind me All those things that you used to do That made me fall in love with you Remind me, oh baby remind me Yeah you'd wake up in my old t-shirt All those mornings I was late for work Remind me, oh baby remind me yeah Oh baby remind me baby remind me Yeah you'd wake up in my old t-shirt Oh, baby remind me

What I also loved about HSPA was that it was easier to be "Gay" without actually coming out so to speak. There was a higher degree of tolerance.
