Awesome video Cam and Dean! I also do remember when you happened to see 160 in December 2015 on 579 with 458 (even though 458's horn was lousy after how it sounded kinda okay when it first came back from refurbishment in 2013) whilst the locomotive was still in Phase V. 160 was also on the line for a brief time in August 2012 and sounded AMAZING with an elegant 90's K5LA.

I know you probably might not agree with me Cam and Dean, but as much I enjoy the classics making a return to the Surfline for an amazement, it's really annoying to have to see all the Chargers having these problems when they are meant to be faster, lower emitting and sleek, as 2117 and 2121 are out of commission currently. Siemens was able to work together with Amtrak to figure out what was going on with the ALC-42's running in severe weather, and they've done just that. Caltrans needs to work together with Siemens to figure out what's going on with the CDTX Chargers, because it's ironic that some commuter railroads have their Charger locomotives working fine while a few Amtrak services' locomotives are not doing well. One idea of a fleet I had that would be nice to see on the Pacific Surfliner are MP36PH's that were sent to WABTEC for a Tier 4 conversion, 4,200-4,400 horsepower and modifications for intercity service with 110 MPH as the top speed. That would be useful when Caltrain, MARC and Metrolink are ready to replace their MP36's. Nevertheless, nice shot of 503.

Fullerton must be busier than ever now with Metrolink's recent schedule change, despite these being shot on a weekend. You might be amazed if I tell you this, but I believe Athearn is making some SD70ACe locomotive models in the old Santa Fe paint.
