12 years newer technology and all that is really improved is the weight, battery and processing speed. Metal detector technology has peaked.15:44 shows the ctx is still relevent. Ctx found that, not the manticore. 12-35/37 was the in ground reading. If you go by screen only Manticore would had you walk away from that indian. Just shows on an old site best practice is to dig all repeatable signals. Equinox is simple, dig no dig, no fancy screen, woulda dug it, these screen busy machines give more reaaons to talk you out of digging.
@Bootyhunter197121 күн бұрын
12 years difference in Technology and they both see targets basically the same. All that has changed basically is lighter machine with a newer, better battery. Detector technology has basically peaked.

Thanks! I use a home-made program based off Deep HC... and that's all I use. I typically tweak it when I'm on site, maybe a little more Reactivity... Message me on facebook and I'll send you the specs. I have a killer creek program. Spent all summer on that.

Great video, love the target numbers on the bottom. Wife and I both run CTX 3030s. Is the manticore worth buying as an upgrade? Or should we wait and hope for a new CTX 3030?
@Not1Edit3 ай бұрын
I'm surprised this question isn't answered. I have the manticore, & wonder if the CTX 3030 isn't still the better machine. When side by side, it seems Manticore has You digging for trash the CTX told You not to bother with.
@MetalDiggr3 ай бұрын
I don't seem to be getting notifications here... just saw this. I have a CTX, Manticore and Deus 2... I use the D2 all the time. The CTX has the depth of the M'core but lacks the separation. I found it to be slow at processing a target but it works great in fields or somewhere that's not super-trashy. If you're in parks or someplace with a lot of stuff in the ground the M'core will separate better.

I used to metal detect all the time, I had a minelab and it was awful, the slow recovery along with Iron made my 11" coil useless. What detector is best today for mineralized soil here in NC? I still have my T2
