I always love hearing Dave speak. But this audience is pretty insufferable. It’s obvious that many of them are pretty sloshed on wine, and that’s fine, I like to drink, too.. so, I get it. But do you really have to squeal at ever other fraggin’ sentence Dave speaks? Girl, drink some water or something. …But honestly, the real cringer is at 32:20 when Dave explains that Shivaun was reduced to working at a Pottery Barn once Sound City closed… and you hear a whole group of people in the audience freakin LAUGH at that statement. Like, really? That’s funny to you? Let me tell you all this, for those of you who aren’t familiar with California; Napa is a very wealthy, privileged, white, uber rich area which is home to a a lot of pampered, self-entitled individuals who are very out of touch with the struggles of common people. The laugh that came from that audience made my heart hurt, and I’m glad I wasn’t there because I probably would have screamed at them. I don’t know what’s wrong with people. There’s a much better Sound City Q&A that he did at UC Santa Barbara with a much better audience. Side note: I attended one of the Prince shows at the Inglewood Forum in 2010 and it was AMAZING. Stevie Wonder made a surprise appearance. And the show tickets were $10. Incredible.

I realize this is captured with a cell phone, but even with headphones I couldn't hear the lady's question at 19:50. You'd think the host could go into the audience, or give his mic to one of these people standing around and run into the audience with a 2nd wireless mic to capture these great questions, since people don't project their voices in these situations where everyone can hear them.

Love listening to Dave Grohl speaking. He tells a great story. Seems to me that everyone in that room is wasted and in love with him. How does he keep so grounded

For a shorter answer: Konbu in cold soft water, heat it up to 70°C and keep it at that temperature for 30 to 60 minutes. Then take the konbu out, katsuobushi in, until it sinks completely to the bottom of the pan. Then strain and use it the same day for best results, otherwise freeze it. For better extraction soak the konbu in the water overnight, then heat it up. I wonder why he didn't use any shiitake to add guanylate.

I pick her to produce my offspring (a mother can have multiple heirs, I know she already some but I want to give her more). There's a lot of pleasure I could teach her and I think our genes would mix well to make super babies.

Yes, you can achieve anything. I have spent my life mastering things, from classical piano and competing as a child to playing in a punk band that toured and then artwork now and living as a full time professional artist. I have people tell me "well your just naturally talented or it's a gift from god" and I tell them "bullshit, talent doesn't exist, all it is is drive and being stubborn enough and also confident enough to stick with something and know you will get better". Some have to work a little harder than others but that is just differences in brain computing not talent.
