His name was Gene Watson, he also played with a band locally called Murphy's Law with Mark Fitzgerald, who played bass for Charlie Danials Band, and helped with "Fire on the Mountain" kzbin.info/www/bejne/mInFm6B_hs5_pK8

Gene was a very good bass player, he was from Salisbury, MD and played with a lot of bands, Gene passed away back in 2019, and Mark Fitzgerald (Murphy's Law) soon after. Gene wasn't just country, as the video shows in my site.

there are other people with the same name, Gene was a bassist for a lot of bands, His best friend Mark Fitzgerald played bass with Charlie Danials Band, has a Platinum Record from Fire On The Mountain. Murphy's Law was their last band, both have now passed on kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6iVinmNhtSZja8
