We use a custom "home built" mount. Never could get the factory ones to stay together. There is a video on our mount on the channel.

How much was your Mpg effected adding the extra sleeper?

I don't think it affected the mileage that much. I tracked it for a good portion of the year. According to the gauge in the truck, we averaged 10.4 for most of last year. Actual mileage was less, as the gauge does not account for the reefer or our generator.

That is not good! MPG’s are so important. I hope you don’t pay for fuel! Other than the mpg’s, I hope the rig is more dependable in the long term!

Sorry meant to say miles on truck. 330,000 in old truck vs 204,000 on “newer” one. So far our MPG are nearly identical, maybe .1 or so less. Could possibly be due to starting to see winterized fuel. Our MPG always drops in winter 🥶 And yes, we currently pay for fuel.

I been driving this highway since 1999 from Los banos to San Jose The commute as gotten so bad over the year it’s a nightmare so times but yes the lake was at full capacity but just recently they started to suck water out maybe because they’re expecting lots of rain again or maybe because of the construction on the Dam for the next 10 years who knows but both lakes are so fun to fish and camp at in the summer time if the water get low enough you can see the underground pumps that suck water in and out of the big lake into the small the Romero visitors center is awesome to park at and look through the telescopes they have on site or go inside and learn more about the history on how the lake was built also the elks are tule elks sounds like tool-lee

Vale pass had a 5 hour delay because of an accident, this was the "fastest" route. I've been driving truck for 23 years, wasn't overly worried but I did clinch my checks a few times while on the brakes. lol@@ItsAHighwayVlog

Speaking of Sheetz..... We've bought DEF for $.09...yes NINE CENTS per gallon TWICE....and no more than $.99 per gallon about 5-6 times. Their spaces are nice and wide.

We actually stopped in New Concord later that evening and got fuel. (They have a new Sheetz truck stop out by the interstate that just opened a few weeks back!) So many great memories of that little town.

when you flush does it go into a separate tank? we’re owner ops looking into getting our first 100” sleeper and trying to understand how everything works and how to refill the water tank? 26:10

It goes into a removable “cassette.” You can remove the cassette through an outside access door, and take it to empty it. We usually empty our at a Flying J or anywhere that has a RV dump station. The cassette holds around 4 gallon or so. There is a water tank that you fill that is located in the same side panel as the cassette access. It holds around 3 gal. There is a spout that you pour water into. The cassettes just slides in. Good luck on the new truck!
