What's wild is Apache and Bongo Rock are Blues Tracks. Basic 1,4,5 chord progressions with funky brisges and breaks. That's are versatile Blues is. Speed it up, slow it down, make it rock like Led Zep or turn it into hip hop

I wish Cat Stevens would've granted Baz permission. He lived above his family owned restaurant called Moulin Rouge after all!!! Ewan's vocals for the son's part were so emotive. It would've made the introduction of the movie feel a lot more intentional and less chaotic than the crazy fast opener we got in the final cut. I also would've loved to see the Duke's performance of "My Way"

ok at me, I am old But I'm happy I was once like you are now And I know that it's not easy To be calm when you've found Something going on But take your time, think a lot Think of everything you've got For you will still be here tomorrow But your dreams may not How can I try to explain? When I do he turns away again It's always been the same Same old story From the moment I could talk I was ordered to listen, now there's a way And I know that I have to go away I know I have to go It's not time to make a change Just sit down, take it slowly You're still young, that's your fault There's so much you have to go through Find a girl, settle down If you want you can marry Look at me, I am old But I'm happy All the times that I've cried Keeping all the things I knew inside It's hard, but it's harder to ignore it If they were right I'd agree But it's them they know, not me Now there's a way And I know that I have to go away I know I have to go

I think this song was intended to be a duet between Christian and his father. I guess the man who played Christian's father in the movie wasn't available for this.

Powerful song. I think ewan would’ve won the golden globes with this performance especially in the opening sequences such a powerful song. This would’ve made ewan’s performance and his character’s story even better overall throughout the film.
