Once the book is designed and printed, I'll make sure I can get some copies to put in my shop. In the meantime I do have some comics and art zines for sale. I'm currently formatting this one page Megazone comic for a foldout zine which are always included free with any zine order! Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you for the awesome review!! You really notice all the little things it’s much appreciated. We used alcohol markers for Jimmy Jenkenheiner. My friend Darby Swayne colored it. We’ll probably continue with these two story lines, Rat and Worm and Jimmy Jenkenheimer. You don’t need to see the play to understand the comic, but there is a lot of lore in Park’s head we’re trying to get out 😂 (P.S. the phone number is a prank hotline, not actually his phone number. You’ll have to call it to find out what)

I always hypothesized about acupuncture being a similar treatment that causes blood flow to go to a particular part of the body. I still think some of that practice is a bit woo-woo, but I can see why it could work for some people. Also, three cheers for your encouragement of people talking walks and hitting the trails! One of my favorite activities! Also, congrats on your current successes! I hope it keeps building up!!
@SCHOONdotART4 ай бұрын
@@frankbfallon yea a lot of that stuff when it comes to how the body heals or recovers or whatever seems to go from pretty hard science to kooky sounding, but things like acupuncture have moved more into mainstream medicine than it used to be. However we understand the reason, it all does seem to point towards motion at every level being good for you! And you really can’t beat the woods for that! And thanks Frank, slowly but surely in the right direction I think!

What is deleter screen tone? Ive never heard of it until now.

It’s a sheet of clear of transparency that adds half tones and texture to comics. Rather than sitting there and making dots, you just cut out the shape you need, and then stick it where you want the tone and texture.

As you know I am not an artist at all, but it seems like you need a surfactant in your ink. Dish soap is a classic surfactant that can be added to most things to decrease their surface tension. So maybe trial a single drop of dish soap in a baby jar of ink and mix it up and see what that does for you. Otherwise, you can probably google surfactants for ink and see what pops up.
@SCHOONdotART Жыл бұрын
As far as I know they don’t make any mediums for ink other than just plain water. But that’s just use to dilute for ink washes so you can start really light and go to full black in layers. Looks like there are ink mediums just not for Higgins black magic ink.

For something so simple it feels like nobody does it. Just a pen and paper, drawing and talking. It's calming, you know?
@SCHOONdotART Жыл бұрын
Thank you for saying so! I found getting some stuff going on in my head out loud to be helpful for making it easier to let the drawing (and by extension myself) dictate what it truly wants to happen on the paper. At least that’s what I think. I’m glad that I’ve been able to foster a calming and welcoming atmosphere for others! Be sure to come back for more I’ll be starting again on Monday!
@jfnwjnowngowjrn Жыл бұрын
We are attacking you!!!! hahahahaha I was digging the staggered metronome sound in the background of this video. The way those moebius contour lines are coming out of the hands of that drawing look like they're tracing the energy/force that's being transmitted to the ground in holding that pose. I'm getting some real unity /one-with-the-environment vibes from it; like they're a visual representation of "groundedness."
@SCHOONdotART Жыл бұрын
Yes I’m glad someone else is picking up on that too! It’s not planned I promise, I just dove right in with the pen and the reference image and carefully considered each choice and let happy accidents like this happen. I’m reconsidering going back to the clock I think this drum machine is dictating the vibe of this painting in a way. Tweaking the drum kit and making a simple best seems like it’s starting a little furnace to get the creative juices flowing before drawing.
@jfnwjnowngowjrn Жыл бұрын
We are watching and we are attacking you!! hahaha Hilarious shit about the mass hypnosis thing. The background audio to me sounded like a ventilator..... If the pinnacle of art was realism, we'd just take a photograph. Obviously to paint/draw realistically takes massive talent, and I think the artist who can do it yet chooses not to tells us something about the meaning/purpose of art. I think you should experiment with drawing something with no reference. I think the experience of doing it would be super intense.
@SCHOONdotART Жыл бұрын
Ultimately I think to be able to draw out of my imagination with no reference is my goal. It’s not about the realism but the confidence in faking it which I think is more interesting. There was a Korean artist who passed away recently named Kim Jung Gi who could masterfully work out of his head with no reference. Any subject any angle (always extreme angles which I suspect may be the secret to his sauce when it comes to finding shortcuts with drawing while also making it look cool). Tragically suddenly passed away like last year it’s a real bummer. I’ve done a couple of automatic drawings in my sketchbook after a video on @prokotv and they came out ok, but I don’t think I have the confidence to just wing one for everyone to see yet.
@SCHOONdotART Жыл бұрын
Also yes upon rewatching through the phone it does sound more like a ventilator. Still kind of calming though even if it does change the mood.
