Pretty obvious. Intentional skip over by the announcers.

Jim Speros, wearing #5 for Clemson (1:49), was an assistant coach to Joe Gibbs with the Washington Redskins in their first two Super Bowl appearances, and was owner of the Baltimore Stallions/Montreal Alouettes in the mid-'90s, winning the Grey Cup in 1995.

2 things, one Woody. Hayes was only fired from being a football coach. She was still teaching history at Ohio state. He was being paid to be a history professor at 50000 a year. When they hired the next coach, they found out how much Colleges were actually paying for football coaches. The second one is he hit people throughout his career. Photographer's reporters, whoever you get his hands-on.

Keith Jackson and Ara parseghian should have been fired immediately after their game for their biased commentary and lying to the national TV audience. But since they were two iconic people. The network was afraid to.

Yes, it is possible that tv viewers saw the punch on their tv screens, and Keith Jackson missed it because he was watching it live. Jackson would have had an obstructed view if his booth was behind the Ohio State sideline to call the game. Anybody who has been to a live football game knows it looks very different on TV versus live. TV always catches the details the naked eye missed, and the big picture is more clear when you watch it live. For example: I didn't understand what a nightmare John Elway was to chase down until I saw him play live in Kansas City in 1984. It was also a shock to see how quick Reggie Bush moved in a live game in 2005. However, at both of those games I missed lots of details like the cheap-shots that may have happened.

I was born and raised in NW Ohio.. I was 10 years old watching this game.. my folks could not stand WOODY HAYES they called him an arrogant Assh**e .. I think BO got into his head and Woody was never able to think straight during the 10 year war.. they so revered him in Columbus.. such a harsh fall from grace My folks followed ND.. and always rooted for Michigan in that matchup.. as I do now.. but I am a full time Wolverine.. GO BLUE !

What we now know about Art Schlister, its painfully obvious he threw the game to pay off a gambling debt and Woody did try to strangle him during this melee. Schlister is a complete scumbag that needs to go back into jail where he belongs.

Big fan of Skelton, but I disagree with him on 2 points. The first one is about the Pledge. He used emotional manipulation in getting his message across. Lots of people still think he was telling the truth about "Mr. Lasswell", but it just shows how manipulative and self-serving Republicans can be when being "patriotic." The second point was about the newer comedians. Skelton indicates that he thinks people shouldn't hear 4 letter words, but in a free society [the same society where you don't have to hear the Pledge] should be able to determine what they want to see and hear.

How is it possible that the ABC camera crew CLEARLY got the shots of the punch, plus continued showing Woody Hayes (since the coach is now the story here), and were able to follow the storyline here, but Keith Jackson and Ara Parseghian couldn't?
