It is loud but … there is a time when you notice a difference ( it will be noisier) and then you would want to replace those bearings.

How about buying some cheap nets and screwing them onto the shelves, so while driving everything will stay in the shelves in case you crash into something or somebody crashes into your van?? And of cause everything which lays or stands on the ground of your van has to be safely secured while driving…

I’ve done this to a mantle, but distressed the wood a bit by scraping it with an axe and hitting it with a chain, then rounding over the corners so it looks like an older log…

Use blue painters tape, both sides prior to making the cut. Be sure you use a carbide blade to leave a good finish. Remove the tape.

Make the thing as wide as the opening and make a cutout on the left stile for each of the hinges. You've lost a lot of potential space to the left.

Nice work!! What thickness did you use for your outer braces? I'm looking to build some of these shelves but they will be holding snacks and cookies, any recommendation on wood thickness?
@Ziutva2 жыл бұрын
For the whole build I’ve used 3/4 plywood and for the front border I’ve use 1/2 inch by 1 1/2. I overbuilt it 😁. I would use 3/4 for the braces and 1/2 in for shelves and would support them a bit front and back with a parallel braces.

get rid of the hinges on the door. make the pull out wider (1" smaller than the oppening of the cabinet ) and attach the door to the face of the pull out.

Great video, appreciate your subtitles adding very useful info and tips. I need to take about 1/2" to 3/4" off the top or bottom--I figure I'll take it off the top since the bottom takes more stress than the top. Do you think I'll need to add to the rail if I'm taking off 1/2"? Thank you
@agawoodcraft58782 жыл бұрын
Yeah, If only 1/2 in then the top only would be fine. Also 1/2 in from the bottom (if you need more) should fine as well.

Door to my basement needs replaced and I’m thinking of doing a bifold since when you open the door it blocks the walkway into the kitchen and living room. It feels like it’ll be easier to go up and down with the laundry with the room saved and not having to step out the way to swing the door open/closed

Should have cut a hole in the bottom of the drawer and ran the wire through the bottom and into the second drawer, then back out the side of the cabinet, and then through the side of the cabinet into the bottom drawer, then through the bottom drawer to the router. Would have been a great conversation starter.
@Ziutva3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I modified it so the wires go through the back and connect them in one of the drawers. It gives cleanest look to my router table.
