I was down that way the other week on my way to Walberswick. 😀 Have you seen the DJI Neo? I'm tempted as I quite like the palm take-off & landing and follow features but it can be used as a normal drone too. 👍 £169 just for the drone or £299 with controller and 3 extra batteries.

Great video. Just wondering if you are using the anti collision sensors or safety sensors, or are you learning from the start without them? I’ve just bought a Mavic Air and am wondering whether to turn them off or not.
@eastcoast-UKАй бұрын
@@ickleo thanks for comment, the drone I am teaching people has no anti collision sensors, my main drone does and I leave them on and have them set to bypass, I leave them on all the time, if you are filming through a tight gap you might need to turn them off also they do not work on sport mode
@ickleoАй бұрын
@@eastcoast-UK Thanks for replying so quickly. I didn’t know the model you’re using to teach didn’t have sensors, sorry. I’m surprised as it’s a newer model. Probably a way for DJI to keep the costs and weight down. That was my way of thinking to be honest. Just turning them off for that tight shot. Thanks 😁

Hi mate. I have never been to Ingatestone although I have passed by many times on the dreaded A12. Interesting look around the town. Well done on improving your time, always good to be moving in the right direction. Sadly those days long gone for me. I was worried after recommending Chappel viaduct to you, but happily Chappel seems to be just outside the no-fly zone for Earls Colne airfield. I am sure I have seen some other drone vids from there, but that might have been a while ago. Take care.

That brings back some memories. We used to take the kids to Pleasurewood Hills in the 1980s. More recently the wife and I stayed at Warners Corton. I remember the awful beach there more than anything else. I am sure that I did a couple of morning interval runs around the field that you launched the drone. Glad you got it back, would have been a costly loss. All the best.

@eastcoast-UK4 ай бұрын
This is possible but all newer drones made by DJI are so much more user friendly you get tutorial flying guides on the fly app, plus if you do lose it as long as return to home was set ie locked onto GPS it will go to whatever height you set it to (100 m recommend) and come back to you, also when you get a drone by the DJI care refresh insurance and you get each year 1 fly away and 2 accidental damage claims, you still need to pay for replacement drone but a third of the price, also if you want you can get public liability insurance incase you drop drone on someone
