Mieruba-ML

Founded in 2010 in Ségou, Mali, MIERUBA is an independent music label dedicated to Malian folk songs and blues. Despite Mali's cultural richness, most artists work under foreign labels, hence the need to relocate the country's cultural heritage by the creation of Mieruba.

Through audio recording and archiving of the rich musical production of the past, the label seeks to safeguard Mali's musical cultural heritage and to bring out new talents and artistic genres. Mieruba also seeks to develop fusion projects with foreign artists and labels and offers bespoke compositions of original work with artists from Mali.
