Nice video! I'm glad that it worked out in spite of having to use anise extract. I have substituted ingredients before, not knowing if the substitution would work or not--sometimes it did, sometimes it didn't--but I'm glad that yours turned out. My guess is that even if you added a bit too much extract (i'm not sure how you should have added, so this is all theoretical on my part) cooking it would have helped since most recipes tell you to add vanilla extract at the end if you are making a cooked drink since heat burns off alcohol. Even that it smelled a bit too strong at the beginning, cooking it may have been what saved it. Once again, glad it worked out!
