The camera man has very little relevance to how the video is edited, because there are MANY camera people, but only one Director/Editor. And since it's a film festival it was probably the bands idea to have it live edited like that because an editor would lose his job if he did this regularly.

@IsThis4Entertainment Actually being someone who ACTUALLY doesn't see how your background has anything to do with my enjoyment of the video..I understand what they were trying to achieve but it's far too much. It doesn't supplement the performance, it ends up detracting from it. They ACTUALLY fucked it up, in my opinion. Plus given this is live footage, there is a real chance the band had little to no input into how this was produced, so you can't provide that assurance.

@applecross20 actually being someone that has ACTUALLY edited, using a switcher (which they used) i admire what they did. and i find it suits the song, and i can assure you the band probably requested the video to be done like this because that director would surely get fired if he let his editor do that for every song. (but basically by doing that 2 camera men are basically live at the same time, which really is a stub in the toe for production)
