I know this is really funny and often joked around in the fandom but I genuinely love how nice his advice is. I've heard him be so loud and hyper in songs and now he sounds more stern but still like... I don't know, friendly? Anyway, that's a Gemini for ya. Danny actually got hit by a car when he was in high school. Finished up his senior year in the hospital.

@@nuclearcatbaby1131 nope. He got a GED in the hospital, then went to France to live with his brother. His brother insisted he earn his keep by playing in his band, so Danny bought a fiddle from a thrift shop and was mostly self-taught. After his brother headed back to the states, Danny went to west africa and travelled around by playing fiddle in exchange for car rides and meals, and just sorta fell in love with African music. I dunno if he ever got malaria. He might have, but I was under the impression that he just got tired of doing it.

@@mahatmarandy5977 Oh he always said he left high school early to go to Africa and did correspondence courses while there. I know they got the money to go to Africa from suing for the car accident. If this is what really happened it's weird that he never talks about it. I never got the impression the car accident was that serious. Like maybe he spent a few days doing homework there? Or did he take the GED early and then take courses for a real diploma while in Africa?

@@nuclearcatbaby1131 he used to talk about it more. Bottom line, he was crossing the street and got hit by a car, which laid him up in the hospital for months. He got his GED in the hospital, and with the cash settlement from the insurance company, he decided to visit Rick, who was already living in Paris. I’m not sure how long he was in Paris for, but I get the sense it was about a year. After Rick headed back, since Danny no longer had a couch to crash on, he decided to go to Africa. I don’t know how long he was there for, but I did hear him once say that in retrospect it was insanely dangerous, and had he realized how dangerous it was, he wouldn’t have gone it, but you think you’re invulnerable in your teens.

although some of you out there may not believe in god, which is fine, but then you may well have to find god after all, because you may have to pray to god so that your lady friend lets you have you back door action, and if you perhaps think of this as some sort of sin or dirty, then consider that at least according to this song god is ok with this, but then only when you are trying to keep your virginity safe, maybe she has a headache, or its time for the rest mist, or maybe even its your birthday you lucky thing, but just make sure that its not too much of a surprise for her, and shes well oiled.

I guess growing up in a strictly religious environment can really screw up your whole personality. One of the not so good things about USA. I feel for them, nobody should be forced to live according to some church dogmatic rules. Other than that - the only notable thing about their duet is their name. Their "music" is shit.
