Nice to see some closeups of the Hilton GMT as I’ve just ordered one with the NIVO FAA centenary watch face. I went for te steel strap as it looked more complete as a pairing, although I’d normally go for leather as a more comfortable option.

The MB2 is a great watch. An overhead image only captures the dial but misses the incredible side profile and definitely doesn’t do the whole watch justice…. Mine has the orange barrel and is a go to for adventure wear but also some more dressy affairs! Stay toxic you horological legends!!

I guess the reason why President Nixon rejected the Omega watch that supposedly celebrate the moon landing is because there was no actual moon landing. It was a great hoax. President Nixon was and is an honest man. He cannot wear and even accept anything that is connected to something bad.. To be clear, I am not saying Omega is bad. Omega makes excellent high quality watches. The bad I am refering to is the fake moon landing.

It’s a pity you prioritise your podcast over KZbin. I think most live on KZbin these days, I certainly do. Is it not possible to reverse this by taking the plunge and growing your organisation? Or are you limited by Dave and his main job? Out of all watch KZbin I genuinely think this is the best however I regularly find that the info is a tad out of date because the priority is the pod cast. In summary you have a seriously good channel but could be a world leader if it was regular and in date. P.s. constructive criticism only.😊

Hey bud, the stats for the audio podcast are huge and it's the most listened to watch podcast in the world having been on the go since 2019 so we cant drop that. The video version of the news show 95% of the time drops on the Saturday morning only 2 days after the Thursday launch of the audio show (which itself is recorded 12 hours prior on the Wednesday using the very latest releases). This particular show was recorded well in advance as Dave is travelling and Im building a new larger studio hence being a bit out of date but still far newer than other channels with their monthly round up shows :)

Another smashing episode fellas. It was great to meet Dave yesterday at WatchPro Salon and see some of the lovely Horage Watches that he was showing. Respect to Katya from the Alliance of British Watch and Clockmakers, she did an amazing job this year and I have already got my ticket for next years show. I like the Patex as well. I have a load of square watches so perhaps I’m already calibrated. The sub dials look crap though. Got my ticket for London already, it was excellent last year

Hopelessly dropped the ball on the Cubitus, and the general PP kerfuffle. Try reading the article by David Bredon in ABTW with some interesting comments from AA. The design of the watch is irrelevant because there is no design, just a lazy cash grab that looks like a Photoshop fake because it took about the same effort. But the real story is what it tells us about PP and its 'leadership'. And don't try kidding us the Code 11:59 is now a popular watch and AP had it right all along. This is the most commonly used excuse for the Cubitus, and also the weakest one.

I have a real SUB but I also bought one of these replicas from MAMACOO for piece of mind if I go to another country or if I am doing activities that can damage the watch. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I believe the first watch in space was actually a Heuer? But then I guess we don't know what some of the Cosmonauts might have been wearing. Wonder how much effort Omega is putting in to ensure nobody on the future Artemis missions wears anything else... F1, Tag's Red Bull deal is now up, so they'll just be sponsoring the sport going forward. Suspect Tudor might move over / double up with the junior team, as they sponsor Red Bull in sailing too. Picked up that Bart electrocuted Swatch this week, couldn't justify a second Speedster, sadly!

Re: FOIS. Is the new FOIS more “wearable” that the speedy pro? They have almost identical lug to lug length but the FOIS has straight lugs not curved as in the 42mm pro, despite the 39.8mm dial in FOIS. No one has answered this question for me yet.

Regarding the Franck Muller. Sharp looking watch with a unique look, but I think every time I would look at it I would think it's 10 after 10 or 20 after 8. Then again, if your paying 40 grand for a watch who cares what time it is. All the best from Calgary.

Funny how a few days can change my mind. Loved this speedy at first.. then realised that ultimately I prefer the OG 1861 instead of all this shiny blue sunburst with orange patina . It's not a timeless classic ... just a fad to be honest. Nice watch but i prefer the classic Speedy

It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. AMZWATCH watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?

This new Zodiac is a good size. A full on tool watch vibe in a reasonably comfortable daily dimension. I still have an original Zodiac Marine Life Auto diver in white dial. That's a 38mm as well, and the case and bezel details are very pleasing. Also a full steel bezel. Which makes the face look wider than its 38mm. That styling was mimicking the TAG-Heuer Link line. If Zodiac brings back the Marine Life, that would be cool, minus the 'Link' styling, due to the proprietary case and bracelet combo.

But next to Maen who did it recently, there are 50s vintage pieces from Universal Geneve & Omega which have geneva stripe dials. Also Mido & Jaquet Droz have made them in the past. (probably more I don't know of...)
