It's absolutely remarkable how many people are affected, in such a good way, by a news theme, goosebumps etc.This is the power of music. Incidentally, this year (2024) marks 100 years of the Greenwich Time Signal, aka, The Pips (generated by the BBC since 1990). Lowe took this quintessentially British institution and created this total banger. I think at least an MBE is in order here.

Arabic BBC tone is excellent and its much better then the other BBC countdown tunes. This has a extra ordinary music master piece. Greatly appreciated.

The opt-in at 16:56 is faster as the bulletin was only on the News Channel while the opt-in at 1:27 is slower as many regional outputs of BBC One are opting-in

Listening to this made me feel nostalgic. When this music hit after completing it on legendary mode with no incapitation (no deaths) it felt so good and rewarded and to this day I miss it.

5:02 - BBC moved their election studio to their BBC Elstree Studios, using the vast Studio D they have for Election 2015 and 2017, as well as the Brexit Referendum night of 2016.

Originally BBC News was based in the spur block Stage 4 with Studios N1 and N2. In 1998 they moved into the new extension called Stage 6 and stayed there until 2013

BBC News moved into BBC Television Centre in 1969 when colour television was being launched on BBC 1 and ITV. Before 1969, BBC Television News was based at BBC studios in Alexandra Palace in north London.
