The map of the trip so far looked more like via Brisbane than Adelaide Scott?

It's nearly 30 years since I was in India last, and either it's changed dramatically, or you weren't really there - I didn't see a single cow in your video! 🤣

Wow - great trip. I was looking at working in Nhulunbuy some years ago. Didn't eventuate but I'm left wondering what it's like. To visit in this way would be a dream of mine! Thanks for sharing mate and cheers from Sydney - Dave (had my early days in Papunya and Warrabri - so have some red dirt in my DNA too).

Did you have receptacles for your flood lights? Are did run your own wires? I like your bike gonna get me one next Nov.

Inspiring video of your ride Mr Bowman. Do you need permits to go to Nhulunbuy?

Too many plastic lights? They create a beautiful atmosphere at night. This includes some red and white lights for Valentine’s Day where people propose. Then there is of course the Xmas holidays. Google for pics or look on their website where they sometime post some. It just makes it magical at night year round. 🇨🇦

I think you will love it. I guess you are going Cunard - if so a great company. We did not think we would like it - but we love it.

No - celebrity. It’s a repositioning cruise moving the ship from Europe to Caribbean at end of season. Still got full services entertainment etc but only 2 ports over 12 days sailing. If we like it, might do transpacific back to Aus at some point.

Great video - looks like fun. Cruising has never really appealed but we’re giving it a go later this year. We’re jumping in at the deep end, transatlantic from Southampton - Florida 😀 Can def see the advantage of cruising to see places like Alaska

Lose the road tires before you lose your ability to walk and enjoy riding. Possibly something like a Rall z motoz in a 150 rear or even narrower and their dual venture front. The AT1000 only runs a 150 rear. that big road tire will just try to kill you in the dirt and the front might as well be a slick. maybe CDU staff and hangers on should do a fink trip one year !

Thanks Sean. I have looked at the Rally Raid suspension - I don’t think they have it in stock for my year of 500x at the moment. I will put some more aggressive tires on in the dry season. I will take a look at the Mitas EO7+. Thanks again.
@ukjeeper8 ай бұрын
They seem to have stock now. And it's on sale.

Some good mods their mate. But if you really want to make it a superb off-road MC, look into kiting it out with "Rally Raid" suspension, and a set of Mitas EO7+ tires.

Nice one Scott - I’ve been thinking about vlogging when we resume our travels in the new year. I’ve been put off by the amount of time needed for editing. How did you find it?
@Chinookflyer1 Жыл бұрын
Hi Andy Merry Christmas. I tried a couple of editing programs and found them way too complicated. I am using iMovie on the iPad. It is very easy to use and free. If I progress I will get something more capable for the PC. But you can do a lot on iMovie. I have been using the iPhone - but have just purchased a couple of GoPros and a dji pocket two which I will pick up when I get home. Thanks for subscribing I think you are the first.
@andy6326 Жыл бұрын
Cheers - merry Christmas to you and Anita too. Will have a play with iMovie. Cruising has never hugely appealed but we’ve booked our first one to give it a go - transatlantic from Uk to US in October 24 - celebrity apex
